And probably, he has even received 5 years ban for lying unnecessarily.

My advice, let him get his bachelor's in Nigeria and apply for Master's in the future. If your uncle can pay $60k for you, he can put you in private university in Nigeria for your bachelor's.

Send them an email. Tell them you applied for EA and have not received a decision yet. Sometimes they can tell you their decision.

Get a search group to join. For instance, July 13th appointment slots were released in Lagos today and many people were able to book their appointments. Since you've applied for EA and was denied, all you can do now is to launch a date search by joining one of such groups. Ask for someone to add you here.

You cannot start a passport renewal process until six months to expiration.

You can travel to the US with your passport as it stands. No one will stop you at POE.

However, make sure you have your NIN handy for renewal in the US. You would need to start the renewal process in September.

May be you should to be on a safer side. This one they are turning people down. Unless you want to try and see the outcome then pay again to re apply. Since you gonna do same. If the date they gave you is close already.
