There is a direct correlation between your battery's life span and the number of times you charge your phone. Your smartphone's battery life depends on charge cycles or the number of times your battery charges from zero all the way up to 100%. The more full charge cycles your phone experiences, the faster the battery will degrade.

Some newer Android devices like Google Pixel step in with software features that allow users to preserve battery life without the need for user input. A Google Pixel will automatically limit charge to 80% capacity in cases where the user is playing games at the same time as charging or if a user has left their device to charge continuously for several days

Taking care of your phone's battery is essential if you want your Android phone to have a long life. Habits such as not leaving your phone charged overnight and unplugging it as soon as it's done charging are good to preserve your device's battery. Most modern name-brand chargers have the ability to detect when your smartphone's battery is fully charged — using off-brand or visibly damaged cords and chargers can cause a fire or result in something altogether more cataclysmic.

Can't worry about this cos my phantom x stops charging automatically once it reaches 100%. Meanwhile, the countdown is still on, surely Oraimo is about to blow our minds with this next smartwatch of theirs. grin

Don't listen to the op, charging your battery to 100% before unplugging it does not affect its lifespan.

A battery charge circle is just a way of measuring the total lifespan of a battery.

If a battery lifespan is 1000 charge circle, it means that the battery can go from 100% to 5% 1000 times and can go from 50% to 5% 2000 times.

A battery lifespan is not determined by how many times you charge it to full, but how many times it discharges to 5%

A discharge from 100% to 5% is known as one charge circle. Same way a discharge from 50% to 5% is known as half charge circle.

If battery is said to have a lifespan of 1000 charge circle. If you always charge that battery to 50% before discharging it to 5% , you will be able to charge and discharge it 2000 times.

So it makes no difference whether you always charge your battery to 100% or to 80%. The battery lifespan will not change.

What reduces the lifespan of a battery is when you always discharge it to 0% before recharging it and when you always overcharge it (continue to charge it after it has reached 100%)

This is why most phone today has safe charging feature that automatically disconnect the charger once the battery is charged to 100%.

I agree with you. People always allow their phone to go to 0% which is very bad. Once every 3 months I allow my phone to 0% to kick start it again. But truly, charging to 100% all the time too affects the lifespan of the battery. Sometimes I allow 90% and disconnect.
