Adeleke should just do the right thing. . and not ue government fund to celebrate mediocrity. . Oyetola so far has done his own best by shaping the life of the civil servant, fact check the government didnt owe workers salaries, work are been paid at when due. . But Nigerians will prefer mediocrity over good works. .

Aregbesola killed Osun State. Oyetola must be really skillful to have managed to keep the state afloat. As we speak Osun is on negative federal allocation because debts are being deducted from source. Many people don't know the situation Aregbesola left Osun State. I just dey laff oooooo......the man has done his best, it's time to move on and allow Adeleke to also try. Let's see what Adeleke can do differently. I remember how soludo was making noise everywhere until when he saw the books his complaints started. Less than 6months he's demanding for a loan of 100billion naira already. Lol.......
Same kind of situation Buhari has put his successor in. The debt will inspire a similar blame of past govt by the next govt and Nigerians will be forced to revolt because the hardship will be so much that they will not want to wait until the next election to execute a change in direction of affairs.

Our case as a country is very sad.

Oyetola is a very brilliant guy but he was designed to fail as a governor by Rauf Aregbesola. Unfortunately, Nigerians are very ignorant of what the issues are so they tend to make the wrong political decisions at every election cycle.

Oyetola’s major offense was not executing big contracts and sharing money like Rauf did. Some, especially Osogbo people also hated him for fighting Rauf. But truth be told, what’s in Rauf’s legacy that should be continued? Crazy debt? Crazy religious policies? Crazy educational policies? None payment of salaries? What exactly?

The governor inherited a crippling debt portfolio from Rauf. The state’s monthly allocation was not even enough to meet the servicing of the debt left by Aregbesola not to talk of paying salaries and executing contracts. Still, he managed to keep the state together.

He had two choices as governor, take more crazy loans that the state can’t payback in the next 100 years or cut down on government projects and prioritize payment of salaries, repayment of loan and execution of only emergency projects. He choose the second option and got punished for it.

People, including political contractors simply wanted huge contracts to be awarded everywhere without caring about where the money would come from. They wanted a governor who would come to Osogbo round about and stand on the roof of his car and share money. Oyetola refused all these and they hated him.

I sincerely wish Ademola Adeleke well but I’m eagerly waiting to see what he will do differently considering the huge debt portfolio of the state.

Thanks for your analysis and it's very spot on!

Jonathan had a similar track record of performance but Nigerians voted against him anyway....and here we are today

The lesson politicians need to learn is that when you get into power, you don't have to change everything. Keep what is working well and continue with it. If it ain't broken don't fix it. This is what Buhari did and ruined Nigeria's economy and security

You only need to see the man Oyetola.
He hardly speaks. So gentle and humble. He couldn't embark on infrastructure since no money and he's got lots of debt on Osun state. Now they've chosen the dancer. They will suffer for it.

Meanwhile a friend of mine posted this to me......

As true you data are, sadly it is hard for any sitting governor to survive the onslaught on two active former governors once they wage war against him.

I didn't see him surviving the onslaught of Oyinlola and Aregbesola...

Also don't forget that this Adeleke's third attempt.... He has been gathering momentum all these time. Now his time has come

Simply piling up taxes and IGRs and doing nothing with them makes you the best governor?

When the average Osun woman wants to buy a loaf of bread for N1,000, she would pay happily knowing that you have saved $100m trillion somewhere?

Even if you hate Tinubu with all your life (as you obviously do, judging from your posts), you should always try to make reasonable analysis that’ll make others respect your views and not scorn at them always.

Tinubu’s link helped Oyetola a lot, note that down.

What undid Oyetola was the bad government and legacies Aregbesola left in Osun.

Gov Oyetola spent his tenure trying to repair the huge damage Aregbesola’s legacy policies did to Osun.

But Adeleke said Oyetola was packing Osun's money to Lagos. Was he able to do this while paying salaries, increasing IGR and reducing the staggering debts left behind by his predecessor?

He is not the populist type who fights dirty like Aregbesola. May God save Osun from Adeleke! The same way Nigerians were in a hurry during GEJ. Nigerians voted APC in 2015 and want to chase them away now! Ignorance is a disease! I am waiting for Nigerians again as the impatient youths want to vote OBI. I can bet it with you that weighing the three presidential candidates, Tinubu is still the best of them. But the rash youths desire a change right now which is elusive!

I know you are a frustrated Ipob. Nobody hates Tinubu with a passion like you people do. Let Mr burst your bubble; Tinubu will win presidential election on Osun state massively. I repeat massively.

The issue of #osundecide2022 was the climax of serious infighting between three camps of the party.

The earlier you realise that not everyone is a slave to Tinubu the better for you.
Every sane Christian will reject Tinubu and everything associated with him.. Period.

While we kept on shouting about the debt profile of Osun under Aregbesola and the bad policies he was introducing to wreck the economy of the state which will decimate the next 30 administration, you guys were shutting us down, cos of party and personal interest.

When the election was about to be held in 2018. I said I would prefer APC to win, so that they can be smeared by the shît left behind by Aregbesola.

If Adeleke or Omisore had won the election in 2018 and been limited and incapacitated by the stupidity Aregbesola exercised during his administration, would you have said this truth you just posted?.

I love Oyetola and never expected he could pull the stunt he pulled despite inheriting debt and bad policies. I wish he had come after Bisi Akande or Olagunsoye Oyinlola, he would have been our best Governor.

Thank you Gov Oyetola. Though you lost this election, you shall remain in the good book of history.

SOLUDO set up Economic Committee of eminent scholars headed by Ezekwesili. At the end of the day, Soludo is borrowing N100b within 100 days in Office. That's N1b per day. OYETOLA didn't borrow a dime in 4 years.

I really want to know how he pays salaries, pensions regularly and still embark on infrastructures despite negative allocation, megre IGR and without obtaining loans
