To break it short to you guys. My girl has been a pain on my neck lately on her elder brother's case. We all know her brother is into weed and crack, thats the one we know. Guy is in his late 20s. Last year he made a decision in front of their family to quit and live a better life and they supported him.

Now he is fully back into his destructive habit. Recently, he has not been at home as sometimes he hangs out in a friend's place. His mum got a call from him saying he was picked up for no reason by the police and is presently being detained for nothing. When the mum got there, police told her the truth.

Man was caught during a raid on a drug joint and he must be bailed. Police was even telling the mum that they are lucky the raid was not by NDLEA else it would have been more serious. Mum was in tears seeing her son looking tattered and having gone back to such bad habit.

This is someone that is a graduate, but has let his habit make him jobless and a nuisance. I do talk to him sometimes on the dangers of weed, arizona, crack, xtacy, ice, etc. I even sent him 50k to keep him going at a time. He keeps assuring me he is okay. It is abit heartbreaking for me despite him not being my blood. It gets my girl moody most of the time.

Is there anything his loved ones can do to stop him from taking this? Rehab runs into millions and his family cannot fund it.
But is there something to make the nigga stop and stop being a problem on his family?

Will appreciate responses from those who were able to get their loved ones to stop drug abuse.

This matter is a very serious one.
From my experience only God can decide
Even after spending millions in rehab 80 percent of addicts will still relapse.

Finally, we are all coming to our senses, we are talking about drug abuse more stringently. It is still a long way to understanding and dealing with the rampancy of the drug menace confronting us.

Until we speak unabashedly of drug abuse among mothers, we are merely kidding.

Junkie mothers should worry all of us more the boys.

When you fall in love with anything, its difficult to stop loving that thing, except it break your heart.......... the said person seems to love weed and drugs and sees no big deal or problem in it, so i don't see any means of stopping unless you make the drugs break his/her heart.

I remember a woman whose husband is a drunkard, the man will always get drunk and start acting rashly, but one day the man got drunk and slept on the road, people called the wife and the wife told them to take his husband to the morgue, when the husband wake up the next he found himself among dead people he felt very bad and scared. Since that day the husband quit drinking.

My point is that you need find a way to make the drugs break the heart of the said person

Modified: Tell the parent to take him to a Correctional Centre (prison, nssdc or any strict agency) and leave him there for about 1week, he should be taught some lesson, he should be put among drug addicts and the rogue guys in the there.

Am sure he will learn, my brother was once a rogue and talking from experience

I would think of rehabilitating the person and showing more love ones the person is clean. In addition, a change of environment and making the person busy.

Health issues.. if dey never almost die they won’t learn. Happened to my neighbor he never listen until he was told his kidney was going n needs observations.unfortunately another distance neighbors (former area thug) died after health issues accumulated over the years age 40+. He was shock when we told him that we where just coming from d egbon burial! He calm down n even confess that him been on monitoring in the hospital still get drugs from one or two work colleagues that comes visiting. Long story short all he takes for now is alcohol. They can’t leave it permanently just let them substitute if he one particular thing n gradually mayb they will leave it all

The best rehab for him now is prayer
Or the family should go to traditionalist and ask if there is problem somewhere

One of cousin is in this habit some years ago ,our family members organize and put him into special prison he stay for a year and 3 months but now he is living a normal life

The key word here is abuse.

I have the best job anyone can ever dream of and l always deliver but on and off the job and l weed.

Never abuse anything in this life, ladies, highness etc. once they control your sense of judgement always, then ur a goner.

The person have to make a resolution himself to stay away from drugs. He has to start helping himself first, stay away from those friends that whenever you are with them you will be doing drugs. It’s very destructive

It's not about taking him to rehab, he'll come back and be worse...

He has to take a decision! Only him can make that decision and that of the help of God.
