FRAUDMENDY31:

Met dannybrayski on this forum and we’ve run transactions together.
He referred a trusted mechanic who came down from Ondo to Lagos to help handle the whole mess this FRAUDSTER CALLED MENDY31 put us into.
He helped moved the vehicle from ogba to ladipo and handle fix everything within a week.
Same car that was dumped @ the panel beater place where they removed parts from the vehicle.

He (MENDY31) even had to tell the mechanic on call when we were @ his brother’s place that he spent 1.2m fixing that piece of shit lols

ASOMUGHA NNAMDI DAVID ALIAS Mendy31 IS A CERTIFIED FRAUDSTER !!!
That mendy31 is a certified fraudster. Take it to the Bank.

He had planned this all along from the first day you initiated a conversation with him. This is the least of his schemes. You're one out of many victims of his.

Just like whenever a man prefixes his statements with "with all due respect", know that every other thing that suffices that is insults and no atom of respect. So is mendy31 scheme when he was scratching you from that above chat that once you've made that payment, you're done with any other further payments.

Na just money for hand and topic changes.

He never made conscious efforts to keep tabs with you, rather he brought a third or fourth party into the picture to handle the remaining distraction. While he's living in affluence off another's pocket.

I blame his woman or girlfriend or mother.

INSPECTORMAX:
My Ordeal with ASOMUGHA NNAMDI DAVID (Mendy31)

I contacted Mendy on 31 Dec 2021 to help purchase a Sienna XLE 2010 model in perfect condition.
During this period, ASOMUGHA DAVID (Mendy) would reply my message close to the speed of light.
After different chats, I paid a total sum of 3.6million naira to bring the vehicle (2010 Sienna XLE ) in PERFECT CONDITION.
He said all I had to do was relax and get the car in good condition.
Around late April- early may, he contacted me that there’s an increment in the custom fee and I’ll have to add an extra 500k to the previous #3.6m I paid to him earlier.
After back and forth, I told him no problem,I’ll pay the fee.
I asked him if he needs the extra money in early May and he replied that I should not worry that he’s handling everything already.
I kept asking for updates from him and he started avoiding my calls and messages.
He will pick up my call sometimes and tell me the car is almost ready and I should not worry
He gave his brother my contact and told his bro to be dealing with me.
I called him and sent numerous messages but this Fraudster wouldn't reply me.
I came to Lagos to check the car but found the car in a distorted shape at a panelbeater's shop. I called him but he didn’t pick up my calls.
After much back and forth, I decided to pick up the car and balance them 570k
500k for the custom
33k for the battery
37k (The Bro said they paid demurrage )

After taking the car to the mechanic village (with a close mechanic I trusted ) we noticed they removed the catalyst already.
Probably that was why they went to dump it in the panel beater garage.

once I have other details of this fraudster, ima add them to the above.

After taking the car to another mechanic village I had to spend over 600k to change major issues on the car.

I bought a new battery for the car because it didn't come with a battery

I changed the wheel screen
Transmission
Ac compressor
Panel beater work and I had to paint it due to many scratches
The side mirror and case shattered
2 backlight broken
Changed the 2 front seat
Horn and fits.
The radio and disc mechanism
The catalyst wasn’t there
Had to buy and gauge the oil
General washing of the car myself
Bought Jack&whealspanner
Among others …
Please take this to dispute thread..

Oga, everything you've typed here is nothing but okoto meow skrrrrr yarn tbh.. You said you were gonna get him a car in perfect condition...!!!! Emphasis on perfect condition

A deal is a deal.. He already played his part by paying and you're expected to deliver the vehicle to him in perfect condition.. Whatever happened at the port is none of his concern..

All that happened here show you're a potential scammer.. It's better you reach out to him and settle things amicably instead of the unnecessary gra gra you're doing..

What's the essence of buying a foreign used car that was later vandalized? That one no be Belgium again na.

Just take a look at the scratches all over the body of the car. Radio and catalyst vandalized? shocked

Bros, this is almost scrap. What makes it toks has been defeated.

And from the chat, he requested you pay a certain 3.6, right? For every cost. You did. And WHY ON THIS EARTH DID YOU GIVE INTO PAYING EXTRA WHEN HE DEMANDED FOR IT? A deal is a deal. undecided

This is a foolish position.

A deal is not a deal with pre order cars because the time frame is long and anything can happen. Customs can wake up overnight and increase duty which was the case here. Shipping companies can increase shipping fees, even auction yards can increase their fees. What do you expect the dealer to do? Pay with his money?

I also imported a vehicle, the catalyst was stolen, I paid more than my budget on the clearing and I'm not holding anybody to ransom because I understand how these things work, I am objective and rational.

Also, those superficial damages are not unusual with Toks vehicles and are not what makes a car tokunbo. For the most part, It's the engine that has not been abused, the transmission, the OEM suspension parts that are crazily expensive e.t.c

The only reason I'm blaming the dealer here is not explaining how pre order works to his client and giving him unreasonable assurances out of greed.

Beyond that, it's difficult to fault him for any other thing.

Search for the name Amdman here on Nairaland. Just go through all his posts and see the name he's made for himself.

Why are you a scam sympathiser? You're actually aiding and abetting fraudulence.

So if Amdman had imported this car for the OP, he would have added his money to clear it or miraculously prevented the catalytic converter from being stolen.

Use your brain, it's there for a reason.

Besides, this same Amdman has been called out numerous times by people in the past. What exactly are you talking about?

The car dealer was greedy. I have mentioned that already. No one who knows what he's doing will collect a fixed sum of money to buy an auction car and offer guarantees.

He was hoping to get the vehicle cheap and make a lot of money. Unfortunately for him and as is often the case with cars on auction, the actual state of the car is usually different from the pictures you see when you bid.

That is why you have the torn seats, blown transmission and damaged windscreen.

You also cannot blame him for the stolen catalytic converter. Sometimes they steal them from the US before the vehicle gets exported. What do you want him to do?

His major blame is giving the OP the impression that he will deliver a car in a perfect condition for him.

There is no case of fraud here.

Inspectormax reached out to me last year with the help of getting a 2010 sienna.

I couldn't go on with the deal as I was busy with other businesses.

He told me about mendy,I remember asking him if he trust mendy cos I don't know who mendy is,he sent me a link to mendys moniker and I checked and told him I am a bit skeptical but do your due diligence. I sell cars too and I know 95% if not all car dealers on nairaland.

Inspectormax carried me along up till the point of making payment to mendy, how mendy told him he will deliver car in perfect condition the increment in clearing fee and all that. He always seeks guidance from me with respect to the car.

Now this is where things got bad, after mendy received money from inspectormax, response to calls and chat went from 100 to -0. It is unfair to treat your customer that way.

Then car landed in nigeria, you left it abandoned for months and you didn't dim it fit to carry the victim along or fix the car and deliver in good condition as promised.

The poor guy kept calling and texting yet you didn't even flinch or move a muscle, that's totally unacceptable. Sometimes back, you even told him to meet you somewhere in lagos, only to end up not honoring the meeting and being incommunicado. You are dealing with a human for crying out loud not an animal.

Long story short, inspectormax kept buzzing my phone explaining his displeasure,I remember telling him IF YOU DONT HEAD THERE TO PICK YOUR CAR YOURSELF,YOUR CAR WILL STILL BE IN HIS CUSTODY BY DECEMBER.

I recommended a staff of minr from ondo state who went with inspectormax to pick the car,no sugarcoating it car was a mess.
In less than a week car was fixed, repaired and repainted and the rest is history.

Only to wake up this morning to see a threatening voice note mendy sent to inspectormax because of this thread. Like seriously?after treating him badly. Hope you will be able to defend that threat if your victim follow-through with it.

A word for you mendy, nothing beats integrity. Agreement na agreement, I have been in this situation many times before, and all the time I always make sure customers are happy even if I'm incuring loss. No be every business man dey make profit. Wetin happen to accounting rules of PROFIT AND LOSS?

If tables were turned,I'm sure you will put inspectormax in jail as we speak. Treat others same way you want them to treat you.

Goodluck.

Pictures after car has been repaired and resprayed.
