Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has condemned former Lagos Governor, Bola Tinubu’s attack on ex-vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) told Tinubu that he isn’t the best politician in Nigeria.

The governor was reacting to Tinubu’s comment that his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima was better.

In a statement by his spokesman, Olisa Ifeajika, Okowa advised the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate to leave the campaign of calumny.

The Delta helmsman advised Tinubu to check his record in politics, in the legislature and in governance.

Okowa recalled the interview where Atiku reiterated that the APC leader wanted to become his running mate in 2007.

He said rather than reply, Tinubu took a swipe at him, saying that his own running mate was better than Atiku’s.

“We know Senator Bola Tinubu as a good politician and former governor of Lagos State.

“But we expect him to know that there are other politicians that are towering and are good, patriotic and have tried in their tracks to be statesmen.

“If Tinubu thinks that he is good, he should not foreclose that there won’t be other persons that are good or even better in politics where he thrives.

“It was his choice to pick his own running mate for whatever criteria he had”, the statement reads.

It informed Tinubu that the National Health Act came from the effort of Okowa when he was in the Senate.

Ifeajika advised the APC flagbearer “to face his contest…and leave the campaign of calumny.”

“Tinubu should be discussing issues affecting the wellbeing of the people, not discussing individuals”, the statement added

Btw, Atiku started the attack on Tinubu when he went on AriseTv to talk about him and condemned his choice of running mate on the basis of religion. Tinubu only responded to set the record straight.

Overall, it’s no no deal. In the US, contestants don’t spear each other. I still remember Donald Trump and Marco Rubio attacking each other over who has a smaller dick on live TV. This is a presidential contest and not a tea party.

He's only good at insulting people up and down making hate speech up and down like "they will Labour to death" and other stupidd utterances he makes in the public.. He has nothing to offer and his brain is empty... Buhari is far batter than him in all angles.. A presidential candidate who doesn't understand anything about economy should never be allowed to get to the center...

It's very unfortunate that this is what APC could produce despite having smart brains like Osibanjo , Amechi and other smart and younger politicians who are ready to serve the country not Tinubu who believes it's his turn to loot from our National purse for his own personal aggrandizement and that of his friends...
