The Kogi State Coordinator, National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Mofoluwasho Williams disclosed this on Thursday at the passing out ceremony of 699 members of 2021 Batch B Stream Il in Lokoja.

Explaining why nine corps members’ service year was extended, Mofoluwasho said three of the corps members only came to Kogi, registered and absconded.

She added that six others had their services extended for various offences.

“We thank God that 690 of the members successfully completed their service year and would be going out.

“As good ambassadors of NYSC, we expect you to go out there and do us proud by displaying the good virtues inculcated in you within the one year of the service,” she said.

People de repeat class and reseat papers for school and university respectively, these ones own na to repeat service year.

If them give them the #33,000 allawee for the extension then the extension to them make sense.

I don't think they'll be paid because their contract is just for a year so extra year is just punishment.

Btw they'll definitely sort it out and might just serve few months extra

This rubbish NYSC should be scrapped.it isjust wasting people's time unnecessarily and it has outlived it's purpose of establishment derailing into abysmal failure.

The one dat absconded if he didn't serve at all will repeat the service year without payment if he has been paid b4 or with payment if he has while those with offense depending on the gravity of the offense will only serve some months
