The Southwest really tried for Nigeria and Africa. Always the first. God bless chief Awolowo.
Just like Tinubu has laid the legacy and ensured the system of continuity in dispensing good governance for a modern Lagos today, he'd definitely be celebrated for generations to come.

All that is left now is nostalgia. Thanks to Aguiyi Ironsi for killing the regional governments.

Ironsi did not kill regional government. Gowon’s administration with the support of Awolowo as his defacto VP killed regional government

You don't know what you are talking about. Find the decree 34 of 1966 by the military government of Ironsi.
Read it very well then come back and argue.

The genesis of Southwest’s domination of press and media in Nigeria; with which they’ve spread all kind of lies and propaganda in Nigeria.

It is the template that Tinubu and his BATstards still use today; perpetuation of lies; against opponents and other ethnic groups.

Just imagine the volume of their lies and propaganda that Sane Nigerians have been able to uncover and diffuse in the past few years through the help of Social Media….

Now, imagine what happened in the years when there was no social media and no one to fact check what had been reported by Southwest Press.

It was a novel achievement, but they deployed very wrongly.

Why not google decree 34 of 1966 to clear your doubts as to who really did what? Once the did was done, it was hard to undo the unnecessary power that was now concentrated at the centre instead of the regions.

That decree 34 was the single most retrogressive error in the history of Nigeria. The other was by Nnamdi Azikiwe who ensured that a referendum clause was rejected from being included in the constitution.

Remove those 2 colossal errors and Nigeria could never have treaded the path of a civil war or the retrogression of quota system like we see today.

Those folks (Nnamdi Azikiwe and Aguiyi Ironsi) were just interested in political power without knowing what to do with it.

An independent Yoruba nation would have been in the league of developed nations in the world. Some people are not ready to move forward and they will not allow other people to move forward.

That documentary was done by the British about how fast the western region was achieving a lot of first in record times.

Here’s another one:

Chief Obafemi Awolowo free education

The British were very surprised. It actually feels so good knowing that we had a leader that the British truly admired and would have loved to have as one their own cheesy

By the way, the northern region were able to come up with Radio Kaduna TV station of their own by 1962. Just 3 years after WNTV so no propaganda or strife was unchecked except perhaps with those who couldn’t move as fast as the others, and the question would be why?

God bless you. The decree 34 even more than the secession clause will ensure Nigeria continues to go around in circles until that error is corrected. No country similar to Nigeria in size, population and diversity is successfully run as a unitary system.
