Early this morning at about 7:15am, I was searching for my car key when suddenly a loud noise from the neighborhood caught my attention.
The fence separating our compound and that of my neighbor is too high for me to peep so as a good neighbor I decided to turn round to see what was happening, The neighborhood most times is calm as the only source of sound is usually from the church sharing fence with us.

So hearing shout of panic is alien to me so you can excuse my curiosity.

When I entered the small compound I met this small gathering of 3men and few kids starring at this strange Animal at the floor, I quickly took a picture of it while listening to the gist.

The man said his kid a baby of 2 saw the animal stroll into the kitchen, thinking it was a pet tried to catch it but it quickly ran into one of the cabinets,
Their kitchen was big with many cabinets of which some of doors are bad, his sister saw it and called the dad, they described it as little dog, out of curiosity the dad started opening the cabinets one after the other out of curiosity of where the little puppy comes from, when suddenly it jumped out, hence the shout from the man, his kids and that attract the neighbors that joined the shouting spree as they tried to kill it while it tried to escape, jumping from one corner to another.
Finally it was subdue,I said let me hear from others. No knowledge is a waste.

You just killed an innocent cat. You ought to be arrested by the owner. The owner is somewhere searching for his/her missing cat.

Looks like a sivet or a bush cat, if it is the eastern world now, the kitchen owner may even adopt the cat and care for it, but here in Nigeria, we kill it, snap it and thereafter burn it after pouring anointing oil on it after praying back to sender prayers 97 Times

You guys smashed the head so well one can't identify it's features.

But it has the Body markings of an animal we call "Ediabali" in Igbo.
But if so, its a nocturnal animal and grows as much as a dog hence it might be a lost Ediabali puppy.

It's edible though almost hunted to extinction down East and as the last of the big predators native to the East,it's quite sad

Busted brain cat.. its eyes popped out from the force.. very cartoonish yet terrifying..

Poor cat .. if na yankee this thing happen you for don come back from vet checkup, bathed and getting fat by now.. Your owner would have shared your pics online and showered you with excess love...
