The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has threatened to crush anyone working for the former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus in the state ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.

It could be recalled that Prince Secondus is one of the strong allies of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the party presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking at the flagging off ceremony of the construction of the internal roads in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, Governor Wike threatened to fight to finish, maintaining that he will “finish” anyone who pitches his tent with “enemies of the state

Wike said, if anybody fights our system, that they will fight the person back. He went on to say that, he will leave his enemy and finish you first

All of you, who are going to Abuja to hold meetings with their enemies in this state, he is going to finish it to the last.

He said you can't come here, gain from the state, be a contractor, get money, then move to Abuja to hold meeting with our enemy and you say I will leave you free, no I will not leave you free.

Nyesom Wike also directed security agencies to arrest Chinyere Igwe, federal lawmaker and owner of the sealed Petrol Station for alleged involvement in illegal oil bunkering in Port Harcourt.

Igwe is one of those politicians loyal to the PDP’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

I really love Wike, but he should rest at this point.

The truth is that the bridges between Wike and Atiku have been burnt and destroyed with the way Wike has attacked and clamped on Atiku loyalists in Rivers like Farah Dagogo, Uche Secondus, Austin Opara and Lee Maeba.

Any reconciliation with Atiku at this point could never never never be genuine...

Atiku might agree to all of Wike's terms at this time but if he wins he will surely sideline Wike with time..

Wike has done too much, if i were him i will have sense and wouldn't bother going ahead with the reconciliation talks with Atiku.

See how Wike is treating his own party members. This tells you that if PDP had been the party in power at the center since 2015, there would have been no APC in Rivers.

They would not even have an office in Port Harcourt.

His rivers brother Secondus was chairman. He fought and made sure Secondus was removed. Everyone supported him in that quest. Now he wants this one removed again. Everything can’t be going his way.

Gov Wike may not be right all the time.Afterall he is not God.But ,to me ,he is 100 percent right in opposing Atiku Abubakar's candidacy.It is morally wrong for power to still remain with the North beyond 2023 through Atiku's candidacy.It is the turn of the South .Imagine if someone like Wike is not in the PDP,Atiku and his Northern brothers would have pocketed PDP and all Southern politicians unchallenged.
