This is incorrect.

There is a lot of power and influence being wielded behind the scenes by the British crown.
I am not disputing that, but they have a constitution that has limited her powers. Though their armed forces have to pledge an oath of allegiance to the crown, it's the prime minister that actually takes decisions on such matters along with most other political matters. They have a constitution after all.

Dude I never called you Tinubu man I just pointed out the obvious
.

Your last comment implied that those who talk about widening tax net are Tinubu supporters. That is not true. (and I have even argued with a Tinubu supporter who believes we pay too much in tax even).

The man paying tax to agbero only knows he has paid, it's not his headache where the cash ends. And all these'union touts' are govt empowered, govt licensed. t's also the responsibilty of government to change/enforce these laws.

It is also the responsibility of the people to see that the government enforces the law. That is why we are in a participatory democracy. Government should do something, but so also should we.

You sound as if you haven't lived in Nigeria for.a.long time else you'd know these basic facts of the street. Hardly any difference exist between the transport unions and the state governments
[

That is not true and you know it.

Our tax to gdp ratio meanwhile is low. Argue with that.

She was not the queen during our Almagamation, her Father was King then King George.

What difference does that make exactly? Would she have prevented the almagamation had she been the queen then?

Why didn't she reverse the almagamation when she became the queen few years later ?

Why hasn't she called for the return of stolen African artifacts back to the countries from whence it was stolen ?

Don't defend the Royal Family they built an entire empire on blood and bullet.

Colonization didn't bring about civilization. There is a clear-cut difference between colonization and civilization. You must not necessarily colonize before you civilized someone.

As a matter of fact, blacks have been keeping slaves before white people came to us... my father told me of how black kings use to use the bare backs of people as tray for hot food, drink human blood.

So fvck all the dead Nd living corrupt black men..

For once in your life stop blaming whites and see the real problem instead.

It's like black people fighting racism when there is intense tribalism and xenophobic behaviour amongst us.

Fight the root problem Nd the secondary problem goes away.

Nigeria is also more civilized than the US. Nigerian cities are safer than most US cities. We are more socially advanced.

So fighting them would solve the problem or keeping quiet would do it?

She has done the best thing, I was angered when I saw people crying over the late Queen on their WhatsApp statuses.

These folks need enlightenment and she has done well by enlightening the wise ones through her anger, imagine the Jews crying over anything related to Adolf Hitler.

Yes, Everyone has the tendencies of becoming an oppressor, but some choose not to, those are the people to be celebrated.

I would do same thing if I was in her position, I am an Igbo and I fear no one neither do I pity any evil doer, if you like tell me you have changed, that's your business.
Anyone is free to put queen Elizabeth on their whatsapp status.
She has not enlightened anybody. What i see is pure manipulation. Playing "woke" in order to trigger outrage and create a domino effect with an ulterior motive. If she care so much about condemning evil doers why doesn't she condemn Putin or Xi Jiping or the Saudi monarchy or the Kim dynasty ,or even the current Nigerian government?
If she care so much about the devastation caused by British upon Africa and the west indies, what contributions has she made to the development of these areas, especially in Nigeria.
What is she doing abroad? Why not she come over to Nigeria to educate we the bush and unenlightened African negroes?

That woman is a professor in the west, and the western academia has gained a notoriety for its sketchiness and hypocrisy in the name of social justice, political correctness and activism.

IQ without Emtional Intelligence is disastrous

Dr. Uju Anya is a university professor and researcher in applied linguistics, critical sociolinguistics, and critical discourse studies primarily examining race, gender, sexual, and social class identities in new language learning through the experiences of African American students.

Nigerian again for the wrong reason!

She is every shade of the word foolish. Imagine such a statement. Empires of old were barbaric and murderous. They had to be. People have gradually evolved. For this woman to make such a statment, she is stuck in the past.

To me, the UK should strip her of all her teaching roles and deport her to her Nigeria or whatever stupid country that would accept her. Her statement is an affront to the sanity of the UK.

The Nigerian hateful, demeaning, tribalistic and egocentric blood is very much fresh and flowing in her veins. She can't hide it no matter the level of education attained. MODIFICATION
Her tweet is on supposedly antibiafra roles Brit played under the Queens leadership during Nigerian Civil War.

... if you read only one side of history

Whatever evils the Brits did to our ancestors through slavery and colonisation were being done to them by their fellows. The real crimes of the English was being an outsider and the magnification of this inhuman treatments.

Also, let's not forget that the same whites abolished slavery, and forced some of our leaders that were refusing to do the same.

Note: I'm not supporting or excusing the crimes of the Brits nor happy about slavery. But I'm giving perspectives. I just us to realise that slavery was a trade, and all sexes, races and colours actively participated in it. So I want us to lick our wounds and move on, and the earlier we do the better.

#What she tweeted is not defendable, especially because she is a professor of history subjects. She should have known better. The school will do well to fire her.
