Whatever evils the Brits did to our ancestors through slavery and colonisation were being done to them by their fellows. The real crimes of the English was being an outsider and the magnification of this inhuman treatments.

Also, let's not forget that the same whites abolished slavery, and forced some of our leaders that were refusing to do the same.

Note: I'm not supporting or excusing the crimes of the Brits nor happy about slavery. But I'm giving perspectives.
