I've gotten 5G in Maitama, Asokoro, Gudu, Kubwa. 5G is available in a lot of areas in Abuja. The devices i got the network are Nokia x10 and a ZTE MC801A 5G router.

I asked you of your variant for escalation purpose. The communication from the network support team is that some Samsung 5G devices and all iphones from 12 to 13 which are 5G compatible aren't getting the 5G reception at the moment but that will be resolved soon. I know people with S21 ultra that are not getting the reception even up till now.

That’s fine boss. No P. It’s very possible that some devices haven’t gotten the 5G, but the few models around me in my vicinity around Mushin and Akoka, we’ve been getting it steady.

mmWave deployment is super expensive. Na only them T-Mobile, 3 and Huawei dey run am.

I tested 5G at awolowo road ikoyi yesterday and I got a whooping 732mbps up.... we were able to download a 12gb movie in 11 seconds...

It's also device dependent. A tech content creator reported really poor speeds with Tecno and Infinix 5G. Even 5G has classes. The best is the MMWave 5G which fewer devices have.

I'm even more impressed with the 100Mbps upload speed, that's very high for 5G.

As for the high ping, it's because the test server is thousands of kilometers away. Try using speedtest.net app and select a local server.

MTN customer care called me yesterday morning concerning my interest in their 5G Router. so, I preordered mine yesterday. Pickup is scheduled to start from the 19th of September. i will come back with my experience and screen shots.

The downlink speed is quite impressive. Although they still need to optimise the infrastructure as the pings are too high, which is not good for gamers.

That's some MADDD speed you got there, but did you notice how much data was consumed just to run the speed test? About 1.49GB of data gone!

Some 2 Saturdays ago I went hunting for the 5G signal since I don't live within any coverage area. When I finally got it, I did the speed tests and when I got home, checked my data balance, mennn I screamed at the very little balance that was staring at me..

5G will be a game changer, but how ready are we for the massive data volume consumption? Ordinary 4G and you see people complaining about the Nigerian Telcos stealing their data. What will now happen when they're 5G compliant? Ọmọ, premium tears loading.

No i didn't buy any SIM. I meant my phone received the 5G signal when I was in Maitama. And Yes! it was very poor.
