I have repeatedly watched teams play out of even more pressured scenario while playing against Manchester City. I saw wolves do it repeatedly against us Yesterday. Brighton too. How can Leicester City fail in such basic set-up? Baffling scene yesterday.

Those La liga critics here should tune into Bilbao vs Rayo match. Some lovely play on display.
Yes very good match, really like what I saw in Inaki Williams and his bro Nico Williams who just got invitation to Spanish national team.

Super Eagles List: Latest Update... Ozornwafor called up

Ladies and Gentlemen, A lad who is currently chopping bench in French Ligue 2, Valentine Ozornwafor has been called up to replace Leon Balogun.

His club is currently in action and he is warming that bench comfortably.

Who is selecting these players? Well, that's the latest.
My major question, why is it difficult to just give NPFL best CB a chance to learn from big boys in a situation like this, just mere friendly match.

Atleast everyone on this list is a starter for his club
I give you that one

What club is Awaziem playing for now

From obscurity in the Turkish league to obscurity plus ➕➕ in the Croatian league. A league that's less than English league 2, the fourth tier .

There is a reason a players keeps dropping to low level league and it's not outstanding quality.

Awazeim has earned his spot in the national team ..Maybe not as a starter, but definitely a squad player.. He has mostly delivered when he plays..

What will you say us keeping your pal Okoye in the team now? He is a bench warmer in the championship after all and hasn't shown any indication of securing his spot in the team ..

No he has not.

He has been allowed to stay he is simply bang average or below.

Get the context bruv, you can't compare Haaland situation to that of Lewandoski because la liga fans never claimed he will flop due to the technicality of the league. But you EPL fans were everywhere on SM hyping your physical league while predicting doom on his (Haaland) yet to begin stint in the EPL just because he had a terrific miss in the community shield.

The whole world knows Haaland and Lewandoski are two class players that will bang in goals anywhere they go, but EPL fanboys think their physical league will expose them.

Looks like Henry Onyekuru picked up a knock from yesterday's game for Adana Demirspor.

The bolded is what Ndidi needs to understand and work on.

Evans was definitely a culprit in the whole fiasco and the entire Leicester set-up in the counterpress was an issue. It is true but it also doesn't exonerate Ndidi's part in that defensive fiasco.

It's better we stay focused on the fact of Ndidi's passing limitations in possession and poor press-resistance coz those have been issues with Ndidi for a while now. Yesterday was bound to happen at some point eventually because his ball-playing has been underpar for too long. This is what we have to admit to ourselves and hope he can work on to some extent.

Several other DMs would still receive that pass from Evans in that position and hit it towards Wout Faes in the other defensive halfspace.
Many other DMs would make cakewalk of that pass and easily switch plays.

Ndidi's underpar Ball-playing and poor awareness in that instant turned a routine pass into a dangerous situation that cost Leicester.

Now even in defensive actions, Ndidi was also found wanting yesterday. Ndidi's a natural ball winner and Midfield warrior but his defensive side failed him yesterday as he lost all his ground duels. He didn't win one. He also didnt make a single successful tackle for 85mins. It was that bad.

Evans definitely has fair share of the blame but Ndidi also holds major shares in the blame and should just look forward to bouncing back from this.

Like I concluded on twitter in my nutshell analysis of Ndidi's display yesterday,

Wilfred Ndidi remains Nigeria's best CDM FOR NOW but IN TIME, his UPGRADE MUST Step in.

TheGoodJoe:
Ndidi should not let the episode stress him. He can easily fix what Happened and learn from the error.

He should know as DM, do not dwell too long on the ball. Watch, watch, watch. Especially before anyone gives the pass to know if you are under pressure and to make quick passing decision.
He should build his watching and make fast passing decisions.

Ndidi should watch lots of Rodri tapes. Study his quick decisions and he will improve on it.

Brush it off lad. There are more games to prove yourself.

Calm down... Lewandowski too is in technical laliga and is scoring freely...

Werner was deadly in the budensliga but struggled in the EPL

This one don change narrative

Lewandowski is one of the greatest player ever and in the past few years many people considered only behind messi and Ronaldo ,nobody will ever say lewandowski won’t score freely in any league so this should not be a point .

As for Haaland 90 percent of epl fan boys said he won’t score freely at the epl ,even you at some point felt Darwin Nunez will outscore him even without kicking the ball yet cheesy cheesy

Be there thinking Werner situation should have been compared to Haaland own ,one played for Chelsea and one is for mancity.

The problem we have in Nigerian football is ignorance of administrators... people who know nothing about d sport running our football.

These people look up to Patrick paschal and Salisu Yusuf as d right personnel to suggest players to foreign coaches who don't know any Nigerian player they can call up in d first place.

Imagine a Salisu Yusuf being d person who suggests players to foreign coaches for invitation... now Compare this scenario to when we have someone like sunday oliseh or Seyi olofinjana or even peterside Idah being at d helm of affairs of d NFF...people like Salisu Yusuf would not even smell that position they currently enjoy.

The most goals any player has ever scored in a single premier league season (20 teams format ) is 32! Just 32! .. Compared to other leagues..In laliga for instance, Messi scored 50 goals in 37 games! Even serie A that is adjudged to have the toughest defence has had 36 goals scored in a season... So no be by mouth say premier is tough! Some of the world best strikers have played in the premier league...

As for me, the coaching crew takes the blame.

I am not exonerating Ndidi in any way but that was a difficult position his teammates put him under. For a midfielder they know is limited in the passing/ball-playing game, that is no situation he should be under.

By the way, even a limitation in an area does not necessarily mean he can not be used in an effective way. He is an excellent play breaker. With the right positioning and good movements of his teammates, Ndidi can easily connect with them with some simple fast passing system.

In this case, I insist that the coaching crew and Evans take major blame. Not saying Ndidi could not have salvaged the situation with some invention.

Ndidi is being harshly criticized. Very harshly. John Evans made a terrible pass option. Ndidi was in a sea of Tottenham players and his teammates created no passing lines for him. They got their positioning wrong.

Most premier league players can comfortably pass their way out of this situation

You keep saying Salah found it easy in the EPL yet you forget the obvious fact that at Liverpool,Salah was assigned a more offensive role than at any other team he played for..After his first season, how many did he score in the subsequent ones?

Maybe Haaland will be the one to break the league all time record, but still calm down... Season never end..

Alright then. I understand your angles and already touched on it.

And yes, breaking up plays is Ndidi's forte. Always emphasized that coz he excels reputably in defensive actions most of which are done when out of possession but yesterday's major instance didn't need him to play-break but simply ball-play as his side were in possession. Just simply take routine control and keep the passing, going.

Defensively even, Ndidi was not himself yesterday.

In all, we both agree with your last line @bolded that Ndidi could have made that instance look routine.

I strongly hope he learns from this moving forward.

Chin up, Ndidi lad.

I have seen Rodri, who is so good with the ball in tight spaces lose the ball in a high press. In that situation, many top CDM's can lose the ball. You think most premier league players can pull it off because most premier league sides have their defense shaped properly for build-up plays.

In this case, the set-up was very poor.
