Which is your top pick?
Modified
Even in Hungary, Esiti is not a regular.
Regulars only please that churn stats

Agboyi clubless since 2020

Luke Amos nor played since August.

My bro only Bright Osayi is a reasonable candidate to monitor

Osayi has always been a winger forward player from day one .

Lucky at molde
Lucky at Dortmund
Lucky at mancity

Lucky with those champions league goals at a very young age

Interesting

Please let us begin to coach luck so Nigeria can be lucky and win the World cup if we qualify.

it won’t be bad having him in the mix

I really want us to hv few new faces in our centre back positions. The trio that deserves to be in that team based on form current are just bassey, ajayi and akpoguma

If Moritz and any of adarabioyo or uduokhai can switch to us it affords more options in that position for the head coach as well as quality competition. It won’t be bad having players doing it in bigger clubs and leagues in that position which will yield quality

Hv not seen the lad play before but had a glimpse of his playing style on YouTube and he isn’t bad at all. He can play with both legs, good aerially, decent tackler and passer of the ball. He is just 23 so the chances to improve is there

Imagine having centre back options as listed below

Ajayi- Westbrom
Basey- Ajax
Akpoguma- hoffenheim
Adarabioyo- Fulham
Torunarigha- gent
And maybe moritz/uduokhai- Celtic/Augsburg

That would be fabulous

27 year old Dominic Iorfa in League 1. If he had chosen Nigeria back then it would have helped his career. We were in need of RBs at the time and he was a super regular in the Championship.

I don't think so.

He was on the verge of transfer to a EPL club and g of y by injured. He has been battling several injuries for the past two seasons.

Never been able to get long run of by games for sometime now.

Ndidi dropped by one from 85 in FIFA 22 to 84 in FIFA 23. Probably reflective of the dip in form he's suffered in the past year no doubt.

Osimhen increased by 3 from 80 in FIFA 22 to 83 in FIFA 23. Funny thing is I felt 83 should have been his FIFA 22 rating while he enters 85 by now. Well, FIFA won't get it all right.
Haaland isn't Nigerian but I gotta say he should be 90 and not 88. Coz if I think Osimhen should be 85, then in truth, Haaland should be 90. Funny FIFA.

Chukwueze should be 80. For real. Wetin stop FIFA from adding that +1 OVR point. Haba.

The shocker is the one not even shown in the graphic.

Iwobi's 75 is criminal!!!! Dude should be at least 79. The disrespect on Iwobi's talent and form is real in FIFA 23. 75??!!!! Bollocks!!! That's just +1 above a silver card.

And talking about Silver cards, Calvin Bassey is 74. That's Silver card rating. He had something to say about it. He wasn't having it. Lol

And to be fair, I think Bassey should have a Gold Card. 75 minimum.

And ofcoz, I don't think Nigeria's Super Eagles is on FIFA yet. We have enough Gold card players to make our Squad builder look so GWG-worthy. cool

As regard Iwobi, truthfully, his current rating isn't a true reflection of his quality at the moment. But let's not forget that FIFA ratings aren't done based on a single season form .They are accumulated over a period of time, and if we are being honest, this year is probably the first in Iwobi's career since his eerly days at Arsenal that he has been in too form, always consistent and indispensable.. His past few seasons haven't been impressive.. But if he continues like this till the end of the season, his ratings will definitely be better than this for FIFA 24

Sacking him wasn’t an error yet his replacement couldn’t accomplish what he accomplished with ease? The mumu even said timing issue? When was Ghana coaches hired

So you've moved from from blaming Osimhen for our failure to qualify for the world cup to Eguavon...Nice one... you're making progress in your journey to heal from that match ..

And there's no guarantee that Rohr would have pulled us through that Ghana game. His sack was good any which way.

Absolutely no guarantee...
The funny thing here is that most of the people who insist Rohr shouldn't have been sacked won't have supported him if he was coaching their favorite club with that kind of form..
I asked Emeka a question in that regards about his club and Ole, he no answer.. Chelsea that sacked Tuchle despite winning them the champions league, Dem no know wetin Dem dey do?

Looking at the groups again, I have to say, I don't see any African team with a real chance of making it out of the group...

In group A, Netherlands are favorites. I'm very sure Qatar will do all they can do qualify out of the group.. Ecuador are a good team too..It will be difficult for Senegal.

In group D, France are favorites..But who knows if the champions curse will take effect again..Right now they have a lot of players out injured.. In the event that they flop like other previous reigning champions, then maybe Tunisia can stand a chance..But Denmark are a strong team..Tunisia will have to battle Australia who are just okay..

Group F, it's Belgium's group.. Croatia may or may not replicate their form from 2018.. they aren't exactly on fire at the moment.. Canada have a young and talented team, but Morocco can beat them.. It's a tough one..

Group G is for Brazil.. Serbia and Switzerland are evenly matched too..I don't think Cameroon stand a chance...maybe...

In group H, our bredas may be hiding under some kind of delusion that this is their time to take revenge in Uruguay, but e no go work..I can't remember when last Uruguay failed to qualify from the group stage.. Portugal have a team that can challenge for the world cup.. The problem is if they will depend on Ronaldo or not.. I mean, if they decide to build the team around Ronaldo thinking he is still in his prime, it may backfire . South Korea are just there too..But on their day, they can give the big boys problem..

So you see, it's a tough one for all the African reps ..

Anything can happen sha, but no too put mind for am... In 2018 Nigeria, Senegal and Morocco and good chances to make it out of the group but blew it...

I have to go back and check the World Cup groups again before I decided to respond to you grin

Where is the lie in what you said ? And yes anything can happen

I am tipping Serbia and Brazil to qualify from that Cameroon group despite me wanting the best for Cameroon .

Yes Netherlands are favorite in group A and host Qatar will do anything to make sure they qualify ,including ojoro ,so senegeal self go face small wahala grin

I am giving Morocco a chance in their group sha ,all because I don’t see Croatia as good as before as you said .

Uruguay squad is so good and composed ,won’t even talk of a star studded Portugal squad ,as much as I want Ghana to go through dem go hear am ,and they are in no way better than South Korea .

It’s really a tough one for all Africans

Naaah, they still had time before the ratings leaks began leading up to the Official release date of Sept 27 to juice that 75 up a bit considering the first 7 rounds of the EPL played already. At least make it a 77 or 78 to reflect the Iwobi of the current season.

Thing is FIFA do consider juicing up a player's base card rating during the course of a season when it is apparent that player has maintained top form not reflective of the ratings given at the beginning of the season.

So FIFA can still make amends before FIFA 24, IF THEY WANT.

They literally juiced up Jude Bellingham's ratings once he landed at Dortmund.

Added to my earlier comment on FIFA's rating of Current Iwobi in 22/23 EPL season, consider the Erling Haaland case study.

-Haaland was rated 67 in FIFA 19 as a 19 year old.

-In FIFA 20, he got juiced up immediately to a rating of 80.

Do you know what dictated it?
It was his Austrian Bundesliga and UCL form. His first UCL hattrick vs Genk in the 2019/20 UCL group stages on Sept.17, 2019 right before the FIFA 20 official release on Sept.24, 2019.

He went on to have a storming group stage that year before switching to Dortmund in January 2020 and got boosted again by 7 from 80 to 87 for FIFA 21.

Now Iwobi has dropped midfield Masterclass performances back to back since the 22/23 EPL season began. 7 whole rounds played and he's got a POTM nomination to show for it.
He also finished the 21/22 EPL season in very very fine form and as Everton's most vital player. A period after his Afcon flunk which saw him play CM, LM, RM, RB for Lampard and helped Everton escaped relegation.
Truthfully, Iwobi deserved better than 75.

Current form and potential normally always take precedent going into a new FIFA release window and they simply missed it as regards Iwobi.

Life.

There was a time Mr. Kome. Kn no really allow us rest.

Iorfa
Fred Onyedimma
Seyi Ojo
Ovie Ejaria
Bobby Adekanye.

How time flies!

When was the last time I mentioned, Onyedinma, Iorfa, Aneke, Onomah ❓Second question how many times have I actually even talked about them.

With regards to Adekanye I never regarded him as SE quality just a possibility and I made just passing reference to Ojo.

You forgot to mention Carney Chukwuma, Fikayo, Lookman, Oviemuno, Adarabioyo, Folarin, Olise, etc

I make reference to players doing good in the HERE and NOW.

What I don't do is give continuous accolades and hype to players who have remained static and are doing little or nothing in backwater leagues of Europe.

The justification for selection has to be outstanding consistent exceptional performance not projected expectations from assumed talent.

Consider the ridiculous over hype many have given to Nwakali, who has done absolutely nothing in 7 years .

Yet the players I've stopped talking about are considerably better than him. Then some misguided person steeped in negative bias and prejudice claim I show favouritism to players of Nigerian origin born in the UK.

If Onyedika performs in these friendlies and Ndidi maintains his poor run of form, his regular shirt in the SE is in great danger (Moreso since he hasn't played under Peseiro before).
Real reason to be afraid.

mk una calm down for once, ndidi will bounce back

Injuries and lack of form are bound to occur in sports. He shouldn’t be written off just because is bad form which was caused by injuries he sustained last season

The same ndidi hv been consistent for the past 7-8 seasons from Belgium to England playing non stop until injuries slowed him down

I wonder if our some of our favorites languishing in obscure and 2nd tier leagues can boast of ndidi’s consistency and rating since he left Lagos for europe many years ago

The same way iwobi suffered lost of form and criticism even some rated 2nd tier players ahead of him, some brandished shit with claims he is only opportune to play in the epl because he is English groomed but today Alex is proving many wrong and is recognized as one of the best CMs/CAMs in the league this season so far

Many we hyped/hyping will be fulfilled if they achieve half of what Alex hv achieved in a top league like the epl in their careers grin

We all understand the politics that goes on in the nff so certain players where preferred to Alex and onyedika at the last afcon in order to help them revive their dwindling career as well as attract clubs of their level to snap them up since they were on the verge of been discarded by their clubs then cheesy
