Brother the Country Leadership and ruling class should be held responsible for this mess,of mass exodus to advance countries for greener pastures.

How many of the leadership from councillors,Local government chairpersons, state commissioners, state house assemblies members, federal legislation members, governors top civil servants and president both servicing and retired have their children in Nigeria institutions of learning?

Please ask them not to send their wards abroad, like they also should use the public health institutions they damage by mismanagement and embezzlement.

The Nigerian professionals that strife and struggle to leave the country for Overseas employment, for betterment of the lives, which the government contribution is not available to them, you are now grieved,so sorry about that.

Listen brother,if the cost of travelling abroad is reachable by all, then your children have to come back to Nigeria and remedy the situation.

Thanks

What about paying them the way they're paid in Europe? Make training like it is in US and give them facilities like in UK? Because you conviniently left those ones out

Sir, to pay them like Europe, patients have to pay like they pay in Europe.
We can take a cue from India and offer healthcare at lower costs and become a medical tourism destination in Africa.
Leadership has really been a dire problem as it is bereft of ideas.

You are right. Most northern elites are bigots plus their shallow way of reasoning.

Is it not for the same reason that their women, kids and able bodied men, in their millions, are fleeing to Lagos to engage in street begging and all.

It's them that see no problem in ending official letters (written in English) with 'Insha Allah'!

When Buhari was appointing round pegs for square holes in the name of bigotry and nepotism, some of Una where clapping and attacking those accusing him.

This is the result. They have grounded the country and every sensible person will have no option than leave. Bc, by next year, nepotism will still be criteria for voting.

I will join them before December. We will come back when Peter Obi wins, or forever forget about Nigeria and her bigotry beclouded citizens

The north is ferociously vindictive. That violence is not deployed today, doesn't mean it will not be. The scary part is that a random person may be the one to pull the trigger or stab the dagger.

It's important that we don't spread fear because it has very little value in the long term. I remember the campaign then in 2015 that PMB would islamisize Nigeria. Some Christian leaders even lent their pulpits to it. But here we are in 2022 and no sign of such. No doubt the same people who were completely helpless when covid was ravaging the land will say it was their prayers that saw it off. The thing is the more we cry wolf, the less believable we are over time.

Elections will come again go, but we must preserve our rationality in the midst of the election hysteria which will itself come and go in an unremarkable manner

Solutions to these are
1. Make Medical Education the same cost as it is in the UK, US and Western Europe.
2. Leave Medical Education subsidized but let every nurse doctor, health professional know that they are getting medical training on a platter of gold. Compel them to sign an agreement of at least 5 - 10year service in the country.

While this is going on, please try and create a system of better pay for doctors and nurses. They are the real heroes saving lives not Naira Marley, Davido or Tonto Dikeh.

Majority of those people leaving Nigerian can not afford the training fee of tertiary institution in those country they moved to, after been train here. Nigeria subsidies the education they have for them. if anybody is migrating its not a problem but it becomes one when you compare the pay cheque here to the one abroad without comparing the education fee too. its unfair to the nation but however migration is part of life and that was how it would continue to be.
I totally agree with you.

Why do people think that medical education is subsidised in Nigeria? Do you know that in most universities, medical science students pay the highest fees. Except you mean to say that university education is subsidized in Nigeria

When the youths said you should leave the stage for them so that they will try. You said no. Since 196O that you people have been ruling. What difference have you all made. Your generation failed us and spoilt the economy. May if these doctors you're talking about have not even see 10 million before in their lifetime. But some old men keep stealing left , front and back with impunity. You plan to continue in power has been botched by labour party. If LP doesn't win now, you won't survive the next one

Saying we're going to fix this country, is a prayer of every good Nigerian

But telling doctors and other proffessionals to stay back without any good plans for them is a very big No undecided
After the heavily subsidized tertiary education, govt should pass a law that all doctors and nurses from public uni, should work for atleast 10 years before leaving the country.

After spending all their lives privately being sponsored by family and relations, without any government input and without any hope for a good life and living, this dingbat is making noise that medical professionals are leaving? Your first two points are moot. Everyone studying in a public university in Nigeria enjoys subsidised education. Singling medical education out makes it seem like you have an undisclosed personal agenda. Unless you are going to ensure that these are applicable to others as well, then you have a fantastic point.

To be honest, nobody has to slave for you because they made a career decision. The world has come a very long way and you guys are waay waaay behind.

HOW is that a SOLUTION? You have obviously overdosed on eba
Make medical education cost same as Europe?= 50 million to graduate
How many doctors will you produce ? If it costs the same as Europe who will pay that to study in Nigeria when they can just travel to Europe to study?
Compel to sign agreement? really? very funny

The cost of learning medical education in Nigeria is way lower than learning it in most other countries. By way lower, I mean at least 1/10th the cost.
Now imagine after learning it on a platter of gold here, you now go and give that service to a society that would insist you pay way bigger money before studying in their country.
Please google the cost of medical education in the UK and compare to whatever cost it is in public universities here.
