Senator Bassey Albert is the current Chairman of the Senate Oil and Gas Committee. He and Akpabio who was then Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs pushed for the hasty passing of the Petroleum Information Bill which cheated oil-bearing and producing communities of Nigeria.

Senator OBA is also infamous for being a gang magnet. Anyone familiar with the sociopolitical terrain of Akwa Ibom since 2007 is conversant with this term 'Oba anie boys akan" ("Oba controls the most boys (thugs) ).

That is enough reason for him not to be Governor or me being in any pro-OBA group.
