After buying the car, we took it to his shop just to help add an extra later to the chair...and small small touch to the car just to love-vendor it a little...I.e adding leather to the sit as well as dashboard...only for him to tell me there is no catalyst...this and that is there...blablabla....had to spend another 500k...cos, I was a newbie...I couldn't ask him why did he not check all of these things before Oking the car.

Well I accompanied a close friend to buy a 2008 Honda civic.
They brought the car to us and the car was breezing cool ac. Engines looked neat and everything was attractive in the car.
Unknown to us, that very air conditioner is very terrible. We spent close to 100k to completely replace the air conditioner.
From fault to faults that car has been giving my friend. Next time we would take a real mechanic to a car stand and choose not someone bringing for us.

Still battling with my latest purchase. Bought a 2012 Camry with inspection from Lagos in March. Only to discover that it has hard gear shifting issue especially from gear 4 through 6.
Changed the gear box around July costing about 750K(transmission + labour+ tranny oil) and only enjoyed 2weeks of flawless driving then bam the same issue hard gear shifting issue arose again.
Since then I have been managing the car like that but then I now drive it on manual mode having discovered that I can drive it solely on the third gear to anywhere.

Last year August I traveled down to lagos to buy a 2008 Toyota camry. I took a mechanic along with me, I got this mechanic from a friend. We got there, the car looked very clean, however, the engine and gear was bad. Being my first car, I didn't know. The mechanic test drived the car around, i didn't know that after we finished driving the car the dealer and my mechanic exchanged some words.
The mechanic told me the car is good that he will have to do some small mechanic work on it. I paid for the car and that car no use 2 weeks for my hand. I was living with mechanic. From one fault to the other. From power steering to AC to engine to alternatorto everything in this life till I sold it at a ridiculous price. Anyways thank God was I was able to buy another car. ogun kill the mechanic and dealer. Pls when you are buying a car be very vigilant because some of these mechanics and dealers can be very canny and dubious.

Be very suspicious of used car , that has brand new looking body parts in some sections.

I went to buy used volvo s40. fairly clean looking car, and soon as i saw very new parts near the bumper and under the car was shining new metal . I said this car must be in very good condition got to have it. And the interior too was nice clean black leather even for used car.

Even though i did not notice it at first, after driving the car for few weeks i started getting shoulder pain cause the steering was too heavy , and apart from that when traveling on a bend the tilt angle of the car is strange and abnormal . Turns out i bough accident car that was not properly put together in straight alignment , and it was either loose your shoulder or get new car cause no mechanic could find the problem with the heavy staring wheel.

I am sure many more fell victim to that car after me, cause it looked clean outside and in, but your shoulder will die if you drive that car for 6moonths. i bouhgt that car for 6000.

and i had a much more lovely time with Toyota i bought for 1000. Cause one day when one carless driver parked near me and hit my door when getting out thier car, i just smiled, its cheap car. And did i mention Toyota Camry loves the motor way, it sits well on the high way.
And also casters for some camping needs, which came in handy when man had to sleep rough for few months in order to re adjust to too much voodoo going on in the office.

Always worth getting a car that can handle both good and bad times, on road and off road. Cause nobody know tomorrow.

Bought a Mitsubishi Outlander... Very clean interior and exterior, sound engine and gear, ac intact too... It was even fairly cheap.

Later got home to discover that all the underparts are bad and rusty... All metals beneath are very rusty...

To even change the tires, na war to unscrew the nuts. All the beam and chassis are so bad that at a point, I couldn't carry more than 3 passengers.

I sold it at a loss to a gullible buyer like me too.

When I heard the price, I now inspected my life and decided to remain humble and Trek as a true follower of Christ.
