Just the other day I saw a friend on linkedin, one who was head of dept in a bank, now employed in Canada as an accounting analyst. His 15 + years of banking experience counted for nothing.

But yet a person who never even worked with his degree is claiming it opened doors.

On top of that, you are conflating admission to paid university programs (a source of income for the uk) with employment.

You are exactly the kind of suckers those agents love. One incapable of rational thought and who thinks the streets of the west are paved with gold for the picking

A friend with a 2-2 in Accounting at LAUTECH went to the USA.

Within 5 years, when I wanted to buy a laptop, the total number of credit cards he provided for me to buy, rough estimate of what he had in his account was roughly just over NGN 100 million. I saw it with my own eyes.

This guy is working at a top Bank, he doesn't have any extra or foreign qualifications. His Nigerian 2-2 is what he's still using.

Far easy to make it in the US than UK in my own view.

Well, with my bachelor degree in Nigeria, HR have interviewed me for jobs similar to what I'm doing here in the UK and Canada. But the jobs required my physical presence in those countries and they are not ready to sponsor visa. Is it not same Nigeria degree I used to apply?

It's just an irony of life my brother. But it is the Truth. Even Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were University drop out. There is not so much focus on University Degrees this days in that field of endeavor.

I think the man is a friend to my lecturer back in school who has been lectruring for the past 17years without nothing much to show for it.
