Read carefully

I don't know what car you've been driving but you should note that this is quite a complex car and not your regular corolla. You should have that at the back of your mind.

2012/2013 models are most preferable. The earlier ones are prone to steering lock and gallery gasket issues. The steering lock is a device that locks the steering when you park the car preventing theft. If it fails, you will not be able to start the car. There are work arounds here and there but not everyone is lucky to escape replacing the unit. The gallery gasket in itself is not very expensive but quite difficult to get to. Best is to just get a 2013 model and avoid all the issues entirely.

Ensure you have a sound mechanic with a good scanner that can do basic things like reprogramming your keys, BCM or ECM. These are things that can keep the vehicle grounded if they fail.

If you don't live in Lagos, getting parts is quite difficult but you can always contact Tpound here on nairaland to get from Ladipo and waybill to you.

I 100% recommend. Its an extremely sweet car to drive. Glides through cars like you're flying an airplane cheesy

Good luck

I mostly use foreign forums like myg37.com. Sometimes I use g35driver.com and nicoclub.com.

The vehicle shares a lot of parts with the Nissan 350z so you can always use this site (the350z.com) as well.

Check jiji. If you don't get there, you may have import it yourself.

Contact 9icetoo here on nairaland to assist with the importation.

If it catches your fancy, go for it.
Don't let anyone deprive you of what you like as there is no perfect car.

I Just got one, Tokunbo, but really I have no reviews yet because I just registered it, so I haven't really used it, but it has really cool features, I hope it serves well. Why's the person selling? Make sure it has no major faults before you purchase.

Throttle body, the car is currently in Limp mode. Bad MAF will not limp the engine but rather rough the idle and stall out.

MAF most likely

I hope it's not a case of oveheating transmission fluid

Good Morning ..

Please I got the following issues with my FX 45 ..
I got it last year..
a. Once I start it (first time) it starts ok with cool sound. But if I off it and then restart it again, I must kick the throttle to keep it running or it goes off by itself

b. I took it to my village, a journey of 1 hour, I noticed that it over-heated ..I have to allow it to cool down before driving that day.

C. On my way to the village, i noticed that the movement was sluggish,i even noticed that the the gear display monitor on the dashboard was blink with no display but after leaving it for 20mins...it will show again with the movement moving well..

D. The tyre wasn't good because it was shaking But I bought two new tyres.

Funny enough, since that experience during last year Christmas ,I packed it in my house in the village .

Though I later scanned it with the details below

I just bought FX35 2006 model less than 2 weeks ago, though the car has been parked for long but immediately the owner put fuel in the tank and start it the car came up ruggedly engine and gear is very very sound but the speedometer is not working and the gear changes very perfectly. The major light on the dashboard that I noticed is that of the service engine soon and abs.... Please can that be the cause? Please I need your advise before I take the car for repair🙏🙏🙏

Just so you know, the service engine soon does not mean the engine is due for oil change. It could be a missing catalyst, 02 sensor or any other thing. Until you scan, no one can say what exactly it is

Boss! I should have get back here to feed you back but I have seriously been busy. Infact, I haven't scanned my cat bit my mechanic told me to bring the car when I told him and he checked the abs speedometer sensor on the both front wheel bit it's so sad that both were not there and we couldn't find the cable as well to even know where the wire come from...... I'm tired honestly and it's like the sensor was intentionally removed because it wasn't cut off. He advised me to go see a good rewire

Please what's the final solution.

I have been experiencing this binding tyre sound anytime I want to take a bend on my NISSAN PATHFINDER 2007 LE. It will be as if I hold on to the brakes and the tyres will drag for a while (seconds) before it releases the tyre.

This jas been happening for a long time without solution.

Pls I need your advice urgently.

Front or rear?
Brake disc or drum?
What's your tyre size?
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by masterblogger(m): 1:11am On Apr 01, 2023
Rear, brake disc, tyre size is 265/65/17. Thanks

If the seizure comes with a groaning noise, check If the tyre rubs against the body.
Ask your mechanic to also inspect the brake calipers and also the “parking brake” system.

Please I need trusted Nissan Pathfinder Engine from a trusted seller. People said most in the market has been tampered or worked on. But am sure one can still get direct tokunbo from trusted seller.
3.5Lt, turtleless V6 engine.

I discovered all those that want to help me get it are adding their own percentage.

Pls don't suggest seller that are not trustworthy please.

Since you don't want them adding their percentage. How about you go to the market and buy yourself?

That's what I him to realise. There's a reason he can't go himself and someone is ready to take that burden off him. Something has to give.
