Would you risk buying a phone without the receipt cos you're getting a great deal out of it.
Someone is willing to sell me a Samsung note 10plus for 150k but it has no receipt, his excuse was he left the back unknowingly in his former apartment when he moved.
He is willing to sign an agreement with his nin though.
But I still refused to buy without that receipt I'm now looking for a new deal that could potentially cost me 50k more.

Did I made the right decision

You missed a good deal. Anyone willing to do all these things just to prove that he's the owner is legit.

I can't risk exposing my BVN for anything, not even loan apps wey won borrow person money seff.

Don't say that bro, receipts are legal documents as the real owner of a particular gadget so be wise.

You put to much trust on a piece of paper that's not verifiable and can easily be forged.
NIN on the other hand is easily verifiable and can't be forged.
If a seller is willing to use his NIN as a guarantor then he's legit.
You fvcked up bro.
You should have taken the deal.

If the NIN is his, he can be tracked down easily.
All you have to do is verify that the NIN is his, that's all.

Even big time phone sellers applauded my decision, you're too naive, who will you track with a damn digit code exactly, receipt is easily forged like I'm stupid and I won't go to the store he bought it for amor make verifications, bros you're very very naive.
How will you track him using nin o, read out the number into space and wait for him to appear right

Ironic calling somebody naive when you think like an illiterate lmao.
We're in the 21st century, hello.
Imagine thinking a piece of paper is more valuable than a NIN ffs.
Go and research how NIN works and how security agencies can track down the person the NIN is attached to, using only a smartphone.
Every NIN is connected to a sim the owners use on a daily basis.
Go to the appropriate website and you can track the owner of the NIN right down to his sitting room.

Meanwhile, someone could sell you a stolen item with a fake receipt.
As long as the receipt has no barcode or QR codes, it's nothing but a worthless piece of paper.
If you can't verify the authenticity of a receipt, it's worthless.

That's why online/digital shopping remains the best way to avoid buying stolen products cos it offers easily verifiable digital receipt.

The seller offering his NIN as guarantor is the next best thing as it's also digitally verifiable.

Anyhoo, I don't think your cock and bull story is true.
No one in their right mind will turn down a great deal just because a piece of paper is not available.
