And strangely, those vehicles will be distributing sensitive electoral materials.

Ethnicity is not the issue at stake here. I know you are most comfortable when it is the topic of discussion but you're going to have to exert yourself a little bit more here.

The matter at stake is an implicit or explicit conflict of interest. Some of the executives of the transport unions (whose members INEC wishes to engage as contractors) have openly declared their support for candidates in this election. All INEC needs to do (in the short term at least, until INEC & FG explain why INEC doesn't have its own logistics resources ) is demonstrate that the integrity of the elections will not be impaired in any way. That's all Nigerians are asking for.

It doesn't matter whether the polling unit is in Kaura Namoda, Ikot Abasi, Ankpa, Moniya or Upper Iweka. The requirements should be uniform across board: no conflict of interest among direct or support staff. And...where there is an implied conflict of interest, INEC must spell out how it will be mitigated. That's how it works...or should work.

The ethnicity of the vendors or contractors engaged by INEC is irrelevant to the discussion. Don't move us in that direction, please.
