When we moved to the SW, we had to stay in this flat that had two Igbo neighbors. My mom actually made friends with them outta a pure heart but they just kept taking advantage of the fact that she a free giver. they back bite and do say bad things about her alot. The Yoruba neighbors on the other hand were more friendly to her and so overtime, she do have this distant relationship with any Igbo person she meet and that history is bout affecting my relationship with this girl. I would have said I'll go ahead with the relationship regardless but my mom don't want to tell you something and you disobey. it always come with regrets. esp me, anytime I do something she doesn't want me to do I always do regret it.
