Four hoodlums have been arrested with a pistol and a knife while on their way to polling units in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The hoodlums were arrested at Sapon in Abeokuta-South Local Government Area as the governorship and state house of assembly elections were commencing on Saturday morning.

A soldier at the roadblock in Sapon, who does not want his name in print because he’s not authorized to speak on the matter, confirmed to our correspondent that four persons have been arrested with dangerous weapons which include a gun and a knife.

He said, “When you see soldiers being hard on anyone, he is not just punishing anyone.

“We arrested four people with guns and knives. What are they doing with the gun and knife at the polling unit?

“I ask you, can you tell me what a voter wants to do with a gun and a knife?

“If they escape from the police, they cannot escape from soldiers; we will catch them.”

Meanwhile, another suspected hoodlum was seen doing a frog jump under the Sapon bridge after being caught by some security operatives.

Thuggering yourself for someone that probably doesn't know you is the height of self dis-respect, shamelessness, de-valuation, faulty thinking faculty and expression of moral decadence. Now that you've decided to set the tune, you have to face the music OYO.

Common sense, i believe is common. but the will to its application is the contentious bone. Not nice

We made this election into a do or die affair... It's either my candidate is the winner or the election was riggged.

All these sentiment drove us here

Seems like the instructions given to the police officers in other states us different from the instructions given to the ones in Lagos State.

These urchins are a disgrace to true Yorubas. They just keep embarrassing us.

Abokis & Fulanis that are known to be hot-tempered all vote sensibly. Same as the Igbos and the Niger-Delta hot bloods.

Our famed days of sophistication is long gone. No thanks to Tinubu and his thugs.

Lagos nko? We need more of their display of power in Lagos right now.

They said and lied it was a joke but today they're carrying out their threat. Laugh as hard as yhu want but remember, whatever goes around, comes around.

They stood at the gate and won't let any Igbo enter the compound to vote.
