Welcome back.
Memories on this thread sha. grin I remembered one of your posts about how you and the rider abruptly delved into a topic involving speaking in tongues in the car... how you narrated the scenario stills makes me laugh when I recall it.

We will be through by Saturday evening. He doesn't like night movement, so he wants us to leave for Lagos on Sunday morning. So I'm only bring them back to Lagos on Sunday morning. He said I should charge him for 2 days, that we might come back Saturday evening

If he can't pay then he should make sure he finishes and leave on Saturday evening.
No 'if's' 'maybes' and 'mights'. That's why u should charge per day, so if he likes he should stay one day, if he likes he can stay 10days.

So he doesn't like night movement then u will now bear the cost of staying an extra day. Definitely u can't go and hustle again after coming back on sunday. If he insists then increase the money for the 2days to cover up what u would have made if u didn't go out of town X2 or minimum X1.5.
Shey u heard Readadream lost one tyre on his trip, if he stayed in Lagos jeje, he would still have 5 tyres.
My advise is if the client cannot cover your risk then it's better to stay in town and make ur 15-20k in peace. Highway driving is a different ball game, u may not see the effect immediately but it has an impact on ur car.

Bro good day, please I was told you can help get a car for ehailing on hire purchase please BABA I really need one how do I get it done bro? Can we chat on WhatsApp or email?
Felicity001:

Lolzzz... Send me times last year or early this year I stated it that sooner or later the ehailing industry will have massive draw back, courtesy to the upraising of this stupid app Indriver.

Indriver came with a good feature but again, it killed the business and it's gonna kill it further down.

Nigeria economy is worse than that of China those days China was having crisis. Just imagine s new government comes in next year and introduce LargeGoKoda... That's okadas that would only ply on the brt lanes and major express. That will be the end for ehailing in Lagos.

What I'm trying to say is the ban on bikes is one of the reasons ehailing is still alive and indriver is also a major determinant in the game changer.

By and gone the eras of surges in December, now drivers will carry sango to ajah for 5k, if u no go over a 100 drivers are ready to go for less.

In less than 5yrs Uber will leave Nigeria. Bolt will be struggling while indriver will have 1 driver to 10 passengers who are not ready to increase their fare.

The business is dieing, partners are not making profit, many are either selling their cars or their wife is learning how to drive to use the car for school runs for the kidsgrin

Fx is in the rise, cost of purchase and maintenance is in the increase yet prices are not matching up due to competition n hardship.

Indriver is not concern about anything, they don't spend any money on anything, no physical office, no license payment nothing even tho they collect 5% commission they'll still make profit so they care less. In other hands, Bolt or Uber can't increase their fare else their little rider will jump ship so they've to maintain themselves.

Let's vote wisely next year and pray the next government favours us so things will be okay otherwise we are all sinking in this boat.

Can someone please recommend a good portable tyre inflator that's less expensive than v-star.

If you've used/use one that pumps fast for long, kindly let me know.

Thanks.

Any ideas?

This statement isn’t true. Apart from tyres wearing out faster there is no scientifically proven disadvantage that highway driving has over intercity driving.

I would have recommended one for you but the bolded above made me pause.

Those two statements are ‘fighting’ themselves. Have you heard about something called an opportunity cost ?

it's like some drivers here use water instead of petrol because i don't understand the kind of ridiculous bids I see on rida. App will suggest 4,500, rider will place 3,800 and one driver will bid 3,000. How? why?

As a science student (except u are not) u should know that any machine or system that works at high rate is dispensing more energy and doing more work.
In d case of a car, driving 120-140km/hr for hours, is definitely different from within town driving. Ur engine and every part of the car is strained from covering more miles within a short time frame.

Have u asked why cars that where formerly used for interstate movement are relegated to Intrastate after some years of service? Have u asked why a car that u will be using for months without issue will suddenly break down on d highway when u carry it to travel?

How can u say d only difference between highway travelling and within town movement is tyre wear and tear??... U dey amaze me o!!!
