I am responsible for what i typed. You are responsible for your lack of understanding. In the EPL that season Fergie played mainly a 4-4-2 cos he could go all out and most times CR7 was on the wings, with Tevez and Rooney in attack. In the Champions League he brought in an extra midfielder and moved CR7 into attack to join Tevez and Rooney. Some other times he played a 4-4-2/4-3-3 hybrid like in the UCL final.



In Madrid CR7 played on the wings in a 4-3-3 NOT a 4-4-2. If you don't still understand then i can't help you out.
