I'm using emboss card for this drawing. Sometimes I use glossy card too.
And just so you know, glossy card does not absorb charcoal, graphite is best for it while emboss card is good for charcoal and graphite but is very textured

You remind me years ago in Nigeria when i still you emboss its my favorite especially the needle point. Now i use strathmore card to do commission jobs.]

Yeah I've heard of Strathmore paper but it's not available in my area. Along with pelican, Manila and Bristol. I've told my vendors about them, they're still searching for it. I'll get to experience the usage when they finally get it accross

They are amazing and I think really give you a great texture. Though they are expensive. I really miss the needle point emboss but I'm trying to search about it online through Amazon but can't find it. Probably spelling it wrongly.
