Every nigerian course is cheap compared to the overseas counterpart . So every public university graduate should be made to work at least 5 years not just doctors
The FG should start with the ones that have higher Japa rates.

Let the government do what they are supposed to do first. Most of these medical professionals have spent at least 2 years (internship + NYSC) in Nigeria before leaving.

Tell the government to provide jobs, improve working conditions, attractive renumeration and stabilize other social amenities. You would be surprised how more people will stay back.

You want people to keep wallowing in poverty and mediocrity all in the name of "staying back in Nigeria"
Their counterparts abroad also do internship.
But I agree with you...
However, the FG and the medical professionals should find a middle ground and proffer long lasting solutions and be sincere with the implementations.

This your post funny sha.

But why only medical students though? What about other students?
They have more Japa rates. Plus they are the ones making more demands.

Who will suffer it if people can no longer go on to study as medical doctors?
Student Loans will be provided.
Opportunity to work while studying like it is done abroad will be provided.
Medical school is not cheap abroad yet they have doctors.

If FG wants Medicals to stay let them provide those incentives. If there are good jobs and good working conditions. Even if FG remove subsidy to study Medical courses, people will do it. Knowing fully well they will recoup the money spent within the shortest time.

Removing subsidy and after graduation you want them to stay on a salary of 250k monthly.

Student loans without good jobs is useless. If I spent 30M to study medical courses and I can only get a job of 250k. When am I going to pay off my loan.

There are one way tickets to all destinations, the only condition is you having right of residence at your destination,

if you have only a visiting visa of your destination country, no Airline will sell you a one way ticket.
Not correct

I cry for those leaving because if they know what is behind sudden open doors or borders in the western countries they'll not touch their embassies with 12 feet pole.

A sane and flourishing community isn’t only built by the government but through the collective efforts of the government and the citizens. Making Nigeria great isn’t the sole responsibility of the government. We all have role to play.

Are citizens responsible for making policies? Don't you know the kind of political system we practice here that give too much power to the president is the main thing responsible for the present state of the country?

This is just emotional reaction to an issue. They can never ty it because it would cause problems for them.

It has to be affecting everybody or nobody. Because the affected group would always ask why?

A country that does not take care of its young will end up regretting in its old age just like a parent who fails to take care of the children when they are small will have no one to look after him or her when they grow old.

I remember when I was in the UK, I could be broke and yet happy. Sometimes when I had no money, I'd just walk around different classes in my uni and find free food. Basically there was always some sort of event being hosted by various bodies and they would serve sandwiches and tea/coffee. And in most cases it would be remaining. I'll just help myself to quite a lot.

Have I forgotten that at the end of every day, most supermarkets used to reduce the price of their groceries that were about to expire the next day or 2 to a fraction of the original price. These things and more help you survive and then thrive in the long run.

How many places can you see opportunities in Nigeria for a young man who is not a politician's son. If you are a young Nigerian you are already 2 goals down. If u get money comot this country!
so selling 99% expired food to people to consume are opportunities?? Na wa

I don't know if you are slow or you just lack exposure? If a loaf of bread is to expire tomorrow, does it expire by 12 midnight or can you still use it. And I'm sure that with the way people are hungry in Nigeria they'd rather have subsidized groceries that's about to expire than being in food stampede

Good question.

Student loans have caused a huge financial crisis in the USA.

In Europe where university education is free, young adult unemployment is a big problem.

Student Loans will destroy Nigerian educational system and possibly the middle class.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
