MaziObinnaokija:The report said they denied explosion. NNPC should be very careful. Detractors and a key competitor can sabotage the refinery by connivance with people to blow critical elements of the refinery or by contamination of the hydraulic system thereby destroying the control system. Other thing they can do is to destroy the PLC components of the refinery. I am saying the above from real life experience. The former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly who was an Acting Governor at a time will understand what I am saying. NNPC can contact him for advice. In real life scenario, company can fund the destruction of the production unit of another company so as to remain the sole supplier of that product. |

GanagiBitrus:Dont say "WE"... in these same country we were almost forced by govt into believing A refinery can never happen in Nigeria until Dangote broke the yoke Govt owned refineries wont function cos Nnpc in conjunction with FG are all bloody thieves ... some have refineries offshore or even get a good commission from offshore refineries, thats why Nnpc are unshamed nd adamant Importation must continue They are incapable not we, Dangote is scaling up production thats enough evidence Refinery can work in Nigeria But Nnpc/FG those people are bad news Nnpc is the largest importer of pms last month what does that tell you |

If billions of Dollars are spent on the refinery and what can get is to work for less than a month and still need another, it means that those need to be arrested and take the nest cell to Emefele in prison. When Baba Obasanjo lent out his view about their lies that Worri refinery is working, these useless people was insulting him and invited him to come, Yoruba say "isa iro kii pe pin" means lies never last. I wrote it then in this forum that these liers do not need inviting him, then them be showing Nigerians how many trucks are loading there every day. Can we immerging a refinery claiming that only 8 trucks are loading from the refinery since the so called resumption of operation. All these people that are putting us into these hardship due to their corrupt tendencies, God will decisive deal with them according to hardship they unleashed on Nigerians. |

professorPABX:Oga please keep quiet and stop all these kidagarten talk, who is sabotaging who ?? Does the sudden revival and operation of Ph and warri refinery add up, Nigerians just woke up one morning to a working refinery Didnt we see how Dangote did his own When a govt decides propangda nd skit is how to develop the country failure is all you get, the Nnpc that told you Ph and warri refinery are working, intensify importation of Pms into the country and even issued more licenses to marketers does that make any sense Nnpc rushed to feign our refineries are back just to shorten reserve crude quota given to Dangote, force dangote into importing more crude so his price will be up. I dare you and those you say are in business to destroy refinery plant...go n destroy dangote plant lets see if any will survive it or succeed |

kayperry:You are a small boy who knows nothing about oil and gas industry and knows nothing about competition. Teaching you will be a waste of time as you don't have any intelligent capacity to understand the dynamics of what is happening or what can happen. Also, I don't want to talk about DANGOTE Refinery because of what I know since 2017 till this morning. My advice to NNPC is to be very vigilant on Warri and new Portharcourt refineries. Warri is scheduled to start PMS production by April while we don't know when new Portharcourt refinery will start operations. |

THEDEEPSIGHT:Okay, I recall responding that I was not celebrating either and would be patiently monitoring. Even so, what is your point exactly? The article in this thread says the refinery is shut down for a few days for routine maintenance. What is the nexus between this and said previous warning? |

MaziObinnaokija:My bro, you know that most times initial gra gra leads no where. Any time these bad guys are overhyping something, know that there's more to it. The information given by the mouth piece of NNPCL is sketchy. Many things are hidden and are not in the public domain. The WRPC is just not ripe to come on steam, after spending billions. |
| Re: Warri Refinery Undergoes Maintenance One Month After Resuming Operation by GanagiBitrus: 10:46am On Feb 08, 2025 |
kayperry:Your argument is based on private-owned refineries, but I'm referring to our public-owned Govt refineries. They can not be effectively run & maintained because of Corruption & Nepotism. We, as Nigerians are all guilty. |

This refineries working is just Kyari playing politics to retain his position. Was the Warri refinery actually working is the first question Believe NNPC and their cock and bull stories at your peril. |
| Re: Warri Refinery Undergoes Maintenance One Month After Resuming Operation by EXOUSIAng: 11:27am On Feb 08, 2025 |
back2sender:Yes, if the need be, then it should. You don't expect a brand new car to function the same way a 20 years old car that was repaired would function. A refinery is much mite complex than most of you think. Its not a chemistry lab |
| Re: Warri Refinery Undergoes Maintenance One Month After Resuming Operation by kayperry: 12:09pm On Feb 08, 2025 |
GanagiBitrus:My oga, Private owned refineries or businesses are not supernatural, the pure difference between private and public institution is commitment, intention and attitude toward operational activities ... as you've rightly said corruption and greed is why public institution are a mess Any thing Nig. govt has a hand it is bound to function below effeciency and optimal levell, cos funds must be looted I refuse to accept all Nigerians are guilty cos we All dont have access to run those public facility, we elected them to regulate and enforce the constitution so its there responsibility to take full blame |
