Hmmmm ....Dangote must consult them before dropping price. They buy at the lowest price so there wouldn't be a monopoly. If Dangote is the one selling at the lowest price wouldn't they be all be buying from him and creating a monopoly? So what is he really saying? They're championing competition...Dangote drops his price ... isn't that part of competition? ...sonwhy are they wailing? They can no longer hold motorists to ransom ... can't get together to fix price .... can't import dirty fuel and resell at A Grade prices .... so they are becoming desperate. What next?....attack on the refinery? ...I wouldn't be surprised .

Bleep off, you cunts. You lot just want to keep importing so you can make inordinate profit off the backs of ordinary citizens which will have a multiplier effect on all sectors of the economy. So yeah Bleep off!

“We cannot buy a product at N889, and over the night, the prices are dropped to N825, which is unfair.

Yes you can;
1, You’re not forced to sell below your cost price immediately,
2, if it was an increment your like will up the price instantaneously, so stop being deceptive,
3, it’s a wide margin of profit for you, 100 liters at 88,900, will become 82,500 on your next purchase, a whopping 6,400/100L stashed away or reinvested. What is the actual issue?
I do not support the Dangote industry for personally reasons, but his venture into the oil and gas sector should in theory have turned the country’s economy around for the better. I still hold that the true cost of PMS lies at circa 500 NGN. Marketers and NNPC fight vehemently to resist any downward trend in prices and this is seconded by the presidency.
I believe at this point the sector needs to be regulated. Deregulation was a farce, and now unionism is crippling productivity. We have refineries, we don’t need so many players in the field, they should divest.

@FG, build freggin railways connecting the major cities in Nigeria. Even if not for commuting of passengers but for rapid dispatch of goods and services. It’s too basic to be delayed.
if you dont support dangote existence then your write up is pointless and needless

i dont see any logic behind not supporting Dangote the only one that as brought accountability and cost reflective price into oil sector

Have you see Dangote net tax to the govt 2024, the ones you love and adore are they contributing to the growth of Nig. more than dangote

This marketers should be sanctioned heavily if you don't want the price of fuel to come down , government should deal with them , dangote should keep teaching them a lesson we need more refineries like dangote to get fuel price down to 250 per liter any stupid marketers who doesn't like it should be sanctioned heavily period, Nigerians can't continue to suffer for few people to enrich themselves.

*For the sake of the larger audience.

Read carefully my previous post, I support his refinery because it’s mutually beneficial but the brand Dangote is selfish, self absorbing, and unpatriotic.

Expanding the narrative… all over the world there comes a point in a man’s life where he chooses integrity, industry and immortality over money. In America today those who wield power are those breaking out of the private sector and working to fix the ills in government so it can be just as efficient as the private sector. Same is happening in Europe.

Dangote for year has been in tandem with successive governments to exploit the average Nigerian. Can anyone list 5 public infrastructure donate by his company to improve the welfare of Nigerians? Has he built a public library? or a stadium? Or public schools? Or supported technology and research?

Bill gates is an American that could have chosen to spend every penny he has on exotic shoes, cars and women but his company global good bridges the gap between death and survival in many third world countries. Same as the Dutch royal family.

All Dangote craves is to wear the title ‘richest man in Africa’ in the poorest country in the world, what paradox.

Kwame Nkurumah said “ let us all remember that nothing can be done unless it has the purport and support of God.

We have won the battle and again rededicate ourselves … OUR INDEPENDENCE IS MEANINGLESS UNLESS IT IS LINKED UP WITH THE TOTAL LIBERATION OF AFRICA.”

I dare say the same of Mr Dangote’s empire, it has not liberated (save his refinery) Nigeria/nigerians since inception, its imperialist and not an inspiration to Nigerians.

Again, it’s my opinion.

If Tinubu had no refinery and oil busineses, is reforms would have been perfected, but he has to bring in malta blends and need a reason.

Funny how Dangote shot himself on the foot when they asked him how much he will be selling the fuel and. He said NNPC will determine the price.

I believe petrol can sell for less than N400. No right thinking man will import product if they can get it cheaper.Importers are importing because of the secret subsidy that comes with importation.

Its lucrative to import despite logistics, and other cost attached to it.

The fuel you bought was for retail-selling not for hoarding. If you refuse to sell aggressively and new price comes up. You are on your own. It's a private business, your never contributed to its stake. Be a business man that you are.

But they can buy at 175 and when the price is raised to 650 overnight, they sell without complain. Greedy and evil people.

Are you listening to yourself but just incase you are naive about business environment

every business man is bound to be selfish, cos you owe it to your business to lookout for survival, and the motive of business is profit maximization

i dont know your own definition of "patriotic" but a man who singlehanded risk $25billion in a sector 90% investors dodged like a bullet, haba! Dangote could have built his refinery in malta and join in the Nnpc exploitation of Nigerians. people wey patriotic they pay tax reach Dangote

Dangote is at liberty just like anyone to aspire to be world richiest as long as he is legitimately working .. you tew aspire your own

Dangote buys Nigeria crude same amount as outsiders and despite the burden of high overhead cost in Nig still manages to sell below Your owned Nnpc, and he is the imperialist 😆🤣

The reason this is a problem, is this govt is in itself the oil cabals and subsidy cabals , because explain to me why you have cheap fuel in the country but choose to import at higher cost and sell to Nigerians higher whil still collecting subsidy from govt.

No be the same Tinubu gathered people to oppose the same deregulation some years back when it could have brought less pain? God cannot bless him for condemning what he knew was always the right thing to do, deceived people to get power and then turned around to implement the same policy when it hurts the most. God doesn't work like that, he can't be deceived if you are deceived.

If you are truly sincere about not wanting a monopoly, urge NNPCL to get serious about their refining potential. Importation is not the solution. We all know the impact of importing fuel on the economy (job loss, weakening of the naira, inflation, high prices for goods and services, high cost of living and reduced standard of living among others) but even if importation does not have any consequence on the economy, they cannot survive efficient local production (refining) as we are now beginning to see going by the protestations of the the importers.

This is a big gat lie from the pit of hell.

They are using petrol imports to syphon scarce FX out of the country. I'm surprised CBN and Finance Minister have not figured this out.

They wire USD to pay for 2 cargoes of petroleum products while only 1 gets delivered.

We need to stop this economic sabotage !
