Nice one.

But it’s high time we started parading Nigerian-built fighter jets.

If Pakistan and India can manufacture fighter jets, nothing stops us from doing the same and more.
Ok.
It's also high time you have joined the military so that you will fly the Nigerian built fighter jets. Don't forget to bring your family members along.

I detest empty heads like you.

Nigeria manufactures thousands of items from armoured personnel carriers to chemicals to jet fuel to buses to shoes, bags, and SUVs.

So what is your “toothpick” remark about?

What is wrong with you Nigerian youths with your low self esteem?

Just because you are at home doing nothing doesn’t mean the rest of the country is on your level.

Same thing your fellow air heads were saying decades ago when Nigeria began opening vehicle plants.

Now it’s no big deal to drive a Nigerian-built car.

Keep being an air head.

There are always people like you.

Just like Nigerian airways, they hired these ones. Once the celebration is over, the aircraft you see today you see them no more

Two weeks ago I remembered that Air Force Day was approaching. Then I forgot.

The sight of 3 Attak helicopters and 2 Super Tucanos flying over Five Cowrie Creek last Friday reminded me. One of the helicopters was carrying the Nigerian flag.

The Nigerian Air Force was founded on April 18th, 1964 (61 years ago). There have been open days (when members of the public are allowed to visit selected air bases and aircraft), medical outreach, sports competitions and other activities to mark the event.

Of course the activity that has caught the attention of the public the most has been the air display. People have been trying to find out what's going on.

Israel was attacked once allegedly due to lack of intelligence.

Ever since it has been war, and such attack has not repeated itself again.

But the Nigeria Army has been attacked directly deep inside their barracks with artilleries stolen multiple times with no single intelligence...

Sadly, it will still repeat itself multiple times again even with all these fruitless display.

That’s your low self-esteem talking.

If we set up a program to build fighter jets, we will build fighter jets.

It’s as simple as that.
You only ended up justifying his position.

A shameless political one for that.

The same politics that has rendered our Army ineffective that they are now regularly used for shooting practice, and Kidnapped for torture and killing games.

Very pathetic lots that take everything as business, and a means to an end.

I'm new here, so I don't know much about Nigeria and its insurgencies, but in India, Indian government has a law that prevents Indian Armed Forces from being used for internal security duty except in special cases like Jammu and Kashmir.
And even in Jammu and Kashmir, they are not allowed to use any heavy weaponry like tanks, jets, attack helicopters, etc. Basically, Indian laws prevent usage of heavy Indian weapons against its own citizens no matter the situation, even if it is insurgency and seperatism.

Does Nigeria not have a similar law? Maybe that is the reason the Nigerian Air Force isn't participating in anti- insurgency operations?
This reason no follow at all..lol

Re: Military Aircraft Display In Abuja And Lagos Ahead Of Nigerian Air Force Day by naptu2(op):
As I wrote in 2013, the terrorists in the North-East want to take over the entire West Africa. They want to unalive anybody that opposes or even disagrees with them and take over the whole of West Africa.

These terrorists have received support from terrorists in Mali (and Boko Haram fighters have been seen in Mali), Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (which fights in Algeria, Morocco, etc), Al-Shabab in Somalia, etc.

The only thing stopping the terrorists from invading Lagos (they actually detonated a bomb in Lagos in 2014), Onitsha, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, etc is the effort of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Yet some jokers that are being protected by the armed forces, some arm chair experts, will always cast doubt on the successes of the Armed Forces (one joker said that the Air Force rented aircraft for this display, other jokers have insinuated that the Air Force is not battling insurgents and that all they are doing is displaying) and celebrate anytime the terrorists attack our armed forces. Can you imagine that?

These terrorist sympathisers are supporting the exact people that want to unalive them and villifying the people that protect them!
