Your man needs to calm down with some of his comments. We dey election period and Nigeria is at it's most insecure period, outside of the civil war. His comments can incite violence against the media. His followers are capable of misinterpreting his comments and actually hurt people in the media.

I just randomly remembered Seun Okinbaloye as Owolabi, the Landlord's son in the popular sitcom Face-to-Face grin

He had a couple of minor roles in other soap operas of the same period. That level-up from C-list actor to being one of the top political journalists in the country, interviewing the most powerful and influential people in Nigeria is a story that never ceases to amaze me.

Why didn't Iran use any of there planes or helis to fly out to the area the pilot was trapped, they would have caught him easily instead of searching for him on foot no?

Missile merchants. The only thing they are good at is terrorizing their neighbors and slaughtering their own citizens.

It's not enough that the enemy is flying over your airspace willy nilly. They are even able to successfully conduct rescue operations while you are asking your citizens, the same citizens you slaughter for protests to help you identify enemy pilots.

I always wonder why some people still rate the Nigerian military, they have proven over time to be unreliable and pathological liars. This problem isn't limited to the Nigerian military, but to the police force as well.

If they tell you A, for your own good, better believe it's B.
If you don't have any expectations from them they won't be able to disappoint you.

I always frown when I see Amoto spamming this thread with posts claiming the Nigerian military did blah blah, if you take your time to research those claims, you'll find out most if not all of them are fake/lies/propaganda.

Since APC came to power, they have institutionalized propaganda in all government institutions, and the effects have been far-reaching. At this point, bandits/terrorists are even more trustworthy than supposed professional institutions.

You need a strong air force to rescue soldiers

Russia has never had the budget to develop it's air force to that standard and it's military doctrine is focussed on missile technology and anti aircraft missile technology. SInce the USSR could not compete budget-wise with the USA, their military doctrine was to focus on shooting down the enemies planes rather than flying their own

This is evident in the 4.5 years of Ukraine war where Russia has failed to establish any air supremacy whatsoever, and it's pilots who crash or are shot down in Ukraine are almost always KIA.

In order to rescue the trapped soldier, USA had to establish overwhelming air power, clearing out anyone who approached within 2 miles of the pilot and even constructed a makeshift runway for the rescue effort. Russia does not have such a capability.
