As for Andoni, yesterday wasn't my 1st time noticing his tactical acumen. I've watched the games he gave top 6 clubs problems, how he transformed his boys sotey they attract top buyers now from Huijsen, senesi, semenyo and all.

As for Cesc, he's doing it with freedom not seen with Arteta plus some basic approach to football from Barclays era, Cesc has brought that into his current team. I've watched some games to know he's great at this.

Na from early days person dey see who fit ho marathon and that's why Lampard too is about to return to top flight as well.

Las las, Coachie don start, i believe he can spin this around. Na him dey do 4-0, 5-1 without full xi. He should be able to enact such again for next dozen games.
I had to check again if Bournemouth was in the top 6

It shouldn't have been a weak point if you have someone like Giroud up front. I miss Merino sha. Havertz is good but falls easily. With due respect to Gyokeres, making the ball stick at the final third is not just his game.

Bypassing the 4-2-4 would have been so easy. Raya go long... Striker knock it down.. We win the second ball and we go on attack from there.

Yes, by end of season.
He's staying bro. That's just the truth right now. Unless he resigns. My stance on if he should stay or leave wouldn't matter.

Oh no.. I'm not saying they're not good. Or let me rephrase. The only coach Arsenal should take out of the four is Enrique.

The expectations when you manage Bournemouth and Como is different from when you manage Arsenal. Porter was so good at Brighton. Chelsea hired him and we all know how it ends. Flick too maybe.

The issue with Arteta is that he is obsessed with structure and I think I know why.

What if Zubibis bold enough to pass it through that front four?

The fullbacks stay high, Zubi joins the CBs to form a back three with Raya that's 4v4, by this we have already overloaded the midfield 4v2

Zubi can't pass it through their press. That's not his game. Let's assume he passes the ball, Rice and Eze are not comfortable receiving with their back to goal especially Eze. Rice may try to shield the ball but he doesn't have the technical ability to maneuver.

That's why you will find Odegaard dropping so deep (inbetween the CBs) with Zubi taking Odegaard's position up top. Ode is good with passes while Zubi is good with linkup. (Although he has been too cautious lately)

Spy, even if we attempt to beat their press on the ground, we still need our striker to drop deep. If their CB follows Gyok to midfield, that would leave a space at the back. If their CB stay put, we will have plus 1 in midfield.

Lookman na maestro. I knew defensive duties is why he was largely anonymous in the 1st leg. His defensive haram manager unleashed him this time and it was the final nail in everything.

Its good to have a player that can interpret what you love on the pitch. It's also good to know when to unleash the drogons and allow your head chop breeze fom overthinking.

Barca might just do Ansu Fati 2.0 with Yamal of they don't spend and build well
What do you mean by the bolded? Care to elaborate?

Oh okay. I grab now.

Me feels sometimes the phase the team is met plays a part as well sha. Flick is enjoying part of Xavi legacy IMO. Slot benefitted 200% from Klopp xi. His 1st full season despite the title and he's fading out of top 6, with Brentford lurking too. Sometimes na just manager dey foolish. Hag and Amorim as examples.

Not just structure but e dey do like adding unpredictability to it na taboo. Whereas that's what makes a great general/tactician.

See barca still suffering for this highline year to year.

It's sad that a captain of one of epl's good teams has played just 56minutes all season. Norgaard. Kai went on injury and has now played 400mins. No be say Norgaard get injury o. Favouritism don make am redue who get armband qualities to a mere passers-by. Aside Zubi mistake, i totally blame Arteta for the Zubi situation

considering the trajectory with ucl since 2018, if they don't do the needful, they may never see a ucl final despite the talent on hand. Plus the leaky defense. Make Yamal no go discourage o.

Sporting at Emirates in knockout always make me uncomfortable. I remember we suffered two massive injuries then and they still beat us via penalties.

Hopefully, the football god smiles on us tonight.
By the way, this lineup dey one kain.

When we have the ball in front of their box we keep passing from left to right and then back to midfield. When they have the ball towards our own final third they look so dangerous ; like they will most likely get the first goal in this tie.

One would've thought with Eze playing ahead of Havertz and Odegaard in the attacking midfield role we would be more dangerous than we've been in past couple of matches.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 9:14pm On Apr 15
Word and Opposite

Bayern vs Madrid AND Arsenal vs Sporting

Our game needs a touch of the bayern game😅

Harry Kane is whoever he thinks he is. He deserves balon d'OR. Only Mbappe can take it from him at this point. The remaining English footballers don fall off, all of them no reach 25yo and dem no dey perform like this 33yo man. Omo!!

Neuer is finished IMO. 2 goals caused by him. Both teams jut dey use attack wound each other. Nbody dey do cautious boring style. Arteta need to being that Flair back.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 9:16pm On Apr 15
Our best chance will fall to Madueke and the clown will be running headlessly away from goal instead of taking a shot on time 🤦‍♂️

One would think the structure we have for this left to right will suffice when teams counter us but f you observe, the fullbacks have to rush back before structure recovery or ball recovery happens. Im tired. Make Raya dey careful o. E dey vex me. 🌚
