ONGOING SALES OF BURSARY AND LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FORMS

The Lagos State Scholarship Board wishes to inform the general public that the sales of Bursary and Local scholarship award forms for 2013/2014 session is ongoing.

Lagos State indigenes that are students in Tertiary Institutions across the country are expected to pay and obtain receipt of N1, 000 (One Thousand Naira) only for bursary form while Law School and Maritime Academy students will pay N2, 000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only for the same form.

The cost for the Local Scholarship form is N2, 000 (Two Thousand Naira) only.

All Payment should be made at the Office of the Special Adviser on Education, Block 5, Room 314, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja. Thereafter, scratch cards can be obtained at Scholarship Board, 254 Ipaja Road, Beside NYSC Orientation Camp, Agege.

Completed application forms must be submitted at the interview venues (date to be announced later) together with photocopies of all the following documents required by the Board:

Evidence of indigene ship of Local Government Area.

(a) From Oba

(b) From Local Government Council

Letter of Admission.
Student’s Identity Card.
Birth Certificate
JAMB Result Slip.
Academic Certificates obtained.
Current progress report with minimum of 3.5 CGPA or Second Class Upper for Post graduate applicant (for Local Scholarship applicant)
Any other documentary evidence.

4. For Local Scholarship Award
Undergraduates: N200,000 per session
Postgraduate (MSc, MBA and equivalent):minimum of N300,000
Postgraduate (Phd) : minimum of N400,000

Y ar u meeting people wen u can c d source from lagos state government. u had beta quickly buy it before d form finishes

As a past beneficiary of both schemes, na dis 1 sure pass.

Good News. Caleb University in conjunction with Lagos State Government is giving out scholarship award
to students to obtain free Bsc degree programmes.

IMPORTANT NOTES

4. Entrance Exam date is October 26, 2013

5. Applicants must score minimum of 180 in their UTME

It is more acceptable to use your Lecturer, Former Employer, Imam, Pastor, Your parents freinds etc as referees. However, u can still use your parents if need b.

Elaborate further in your question on documents.

In the application form online...we're asked to upload 3 documents...but they dint specify the documents..

During my tym, we werent told to do dat.
However, if i were in your shoes, i wil upload my GP results, My Local Government Certificate and any of birth Cert, Oba Letter and SSCE/JAMB.

D first aspect is written exam. Read your GMAT Maths and English. Den also know your current affairs. Questions will b asked in these three parts. You must have above 50% score for u to b considered for d scholarship.

The second aspect is Oral exam. U will b asked questions relating to your family background to ascertain if truly u ar a Lagosian.

Its actually supposed to have been out by now, going by what happened last year...I suggest you go to the scholarship board at iyanapaja and make enquiries.

N again do u knw wen d documentation will take place cos d man dat interviewed me told me 2 make sure my documents r ready by documentation day. Am nt in lagos n dnt knw wats goin on.

u jus did yrs na,dts 2013/2014..I did mine earli ds year 2012/2013,d list shld b out by nw,u jus did yrs so dnt expct d list so soon lik dt dear,dt shld b later latr nxt year...

even your first year result?
if that's the case, you can meet your hod to write a letter of attestation for you which will include your cgpa.
