Have you ever given some very strong thought as to what would drive a man to the extent that he would 'SAVAGELY' and 'BRUTALLY' kill and mutilate the corpse of a fellow man like himself? Have you ever taken the time to ponder on this gruesome fact?

I'm very much a TV person and a huge fan of the CI channel(Crime and Investigation). Just this morning i watched a documentary of how a step father murdered in cold blood his wife and her four(4) children and buried them all in the backyard of the family compound, all because he was 'JEALOUS' of the real father of the children. Can you imagine?

Everywhere you look, all you see is war, war and more wars. Human beings killing one another over territories, wealth, religion etc etc.... why do we as human beings commit all these atrocities against our very own kind? why?

If it's not Russia against Ukraine, it's Nigeria against Boko Haram or Niger Delta militants and then again there's the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria(IS) terrorising parts of Iraq and Syria beheading people and Christians alike. But why?

Did you know that a recent survey posits that a 40 year old Palestinian/Israeli man/woman living in Gaza and Isreal respectively have never known true peace from the day they were born till today? Did you?

It's my strong opinion that the greatest problem facing this world today is religious divide? I wonder just how many of you will agree with me?

So I ask again, what then is the very essence of life?

I don't know if you believe in God, but is this why he has created us? Let's assume you do believe in him....

Mad men killing innocent people, yes I agree with you but ultimately the question is why? What could go so terribly wrong as to warrant such an ugly situation?

I don't see how it's practically possible to separate RELIGION from THE ESSENCE OF LIFE...(My opinion though). But then again I'm no expert on religion so please don't ask me to explain......

why mad men do what they do?! it is simple, because they are MAD, there is something wrong with the way the think/feel. its that simple.
we are all made different and some will end up being great kind intelligent people, and others........ oh well!

It's perfectly okay to bring different perspectives to the discuss. That's why it's a question in the first instance...

In my opinion, the true essence of life is self love...not in a narcissistic way but a self love that comes with confidence. If that step father wasn't insecure, if the countries that engage in war weren't dissatisfied with what they have they wouldn't be in a haste to start a war to obtain what their 'enemies' possessed. in the end, its the lack of self love...its truly lacking in society today.
