Initially my daughter applied to Miami to meet her father's friend on a visiting visa , the woman is a citizen , an agent said its because the woman over there is a citizen that's why she was denied and also because she's young and inexperienced with no job, this time I'm thinking the woman thinks we want to go to Miami because of the woman because she said 'why Miami ' when we got to the embassy the officer asked why I'm leaving my husband and my other family and taking just my two babies I told her because others are married and my husband is at the port because he works with an oil company , that's all I said I don't know where I made mistake I don't know maybe its because she asked for places in Miami and we didn't really give her a good answer , thank you
Please, beware of "agents", these are people who brain-wash visa seekers to think that a visa application can only be successful with the help of an influential insider, or a paid professional mediator: but on the contrary, they are good-for-nothing syndicates who are the number one cause of getting people banned.
Example of such is your "agent" who suggested that your daughter's visa was refused because her contact is a US citizen: it is clear from this that he could have suggested her to lie in this regard whereas, being a US citizen has absolutely no negative effect to the application.
Regarding future application, I strongly recommend that you do Google search about the state that you want to visit, be familiar with the areas of interest and the airport of arival.
Read the opening article of thread comprehensively, and if you have further questions or concerns, ask here.

Was your visa application refused for reason of the amount of money that your sponsor has in his account?
Well, you might want to take a re-look at the original article of this thread to get familiar with the guidelines

We are planing to appear again by Feb, do we go to Abuja or Lagos because I was told that abuja is better?

No visa application centre is better for reason of the location, every application is treated in its own merit, and the treatments are according to the rules and regulations setting the required standards for visa application. The decision making has absolutely nothing to do with the location of the embassy, it just depends on the individuals that are in charge of each case.
Once again, i like to strongly discourage you from paying any syndicate called "agent" with every emphasis at my command as i describe them as useless, meaningless, fruitless, needless, profitless, valueless, helpless, worthless, futile, inutile, ineffectual, vain, unavailing... plus any other word with similar meaning

What is the undertaking regarding, and what is the necessity for it?
Well, you might want to look up this link for some samples of format that can be viable for the job, simply edit the contents to soothe your purpose.

it is a letter to the irish embassy that I am not willing to stay in Ireland for more than the supposed time and that I only intend to study there and then come back to nigeria.

Even in the dark, your shadow will abandon you, so learn to be comfortable with the English language. Your post has exposed you as an example of the reason why Nigerians are expected to pass TOEFL before been accepted into foreign schools! Reading and comprehension are miles apart!
As Juvenal quipped, who will guard the guards themselves?

even of you had the same surname you would be refused. I had same issue too I was refused but I deceided to re apply. I'm currently in Lagos now to submit tmr. What you should do is that you give a concrete reason as to why he is sponsoring you. Also, he should swear an affidavit of support showing his source of income and all other assets he has, also listing all the dependents he has.
The reason for sponsoring you should also be stated on the lettet of sponsorship. I think with that, you should be okay!

that'd be much more work on your part. You'll still have to show your relationship with that person...... It would be better if you could just use your parents as sponsors. That's just perfect. And straight

QUESTION:
A friend was initially denied visa on "false document", he appealed, the officer in-charge later withdrew his initial verdict of "false document" accusation, this guy won the appeal and was given his visa.

Now, he is going to renew his visa,
1. Is he going to be denied visa base on previous record of which he won the appeal?
2. How will he respond to visa question like "Have you been denied visa before?"

3. Complete visa application form
4. 3 months bank statement (1.5M)

7. Shares certificate

9. Purpose of travel document
10. Medical insurance
11. Hotel reservation
12. Flight reservation

though the only country i've been to is Ghana, i'm a 30 years old man and i run my own business, i'm yet to get married and i don't have any properties for now, what are my chances of getting the visa? what do you think i should remove or add to the list of documents above? your positive response would be appreciated.

Thank You
*Is there any reason that you are presenting a 3 months bank statement instead of the required 6 months statements?
*Of what relevance is your house rent and what purpose would the rent document serve?
*Flight reservation doesn't normally stay for more than 48 hours, so, how do you suppose your reservation to remain valid throughout the period of the visa application?
By the way, Flight Reservation or Ticket is not a requirement.

Don't waste your money, i don't think you can succeed with a sponsor of this calibre as there is apparently no compelling reason why he is sponsoring you and nothing that he stands to gain from sponsoring you.

Hello everyone,

This thread is very informative, and really appreciated.

I'm at a juncture where I really need advice on what to do.

I want to apply for a UK Family Visit Visa to visit my blood sister and her husband who are both British citizens.

I had previously applied and got rejected based on the following reasons:

1) The Examiner of my application felt my wanting to travel when my school at the time (in 2012) had accreditation issues, didn't make it believable that I intended to come back even though I still had final exams to take a few months after my planned return.

2) I did not submit my sister's birth certificate and they thought what I submitted wasn't substantial enough to prove that she was my sister.

After that application, my parents and brother applied for a UK Visa to witness the christening of their first grandchild the next year and got granted the visa, though this time a sworn affidavit of my sister's birth certificate was submitted amongst other things.

Now I want to apply so as to witness the christening of my sister's second child, The dilemma I face is I'm 23 and just switched jobs last month, my previous job (which i started 6 months back) had me paid 80k but the new job pays 130k, I have worked there for a month and I have told them i would be taking a 2 week leave late April so as to travel which has been granted in advance.

Although I am not the one sponsoring my trip, My sister is, I thought it is necessary to include my statement which has inflows and outflows for over a year, and i currently have a little under 200k saved in my acc.

I would like to know the following:

1) Is it appropriate to apply this month for the visa so as to give them enough time as i had been previously rejected although I wish to travel April?

2) What documents do I need to provide to improve my chances of been granted the visa?

3) What documents should my sister Provide to back up her sponsorship

4) How do I apply, as I found out it is now online based, and the visa office moved out of the oregun area recently.

I know these are a lot of questions but i would be glad if they are answered.

Thanks in advance

In the application form, there is a question that says
"when did you take up your current employment" or
"How long have you been in your current employment?"
What are you going to answer to these questions?
The answer to this alone is enough to get your refused.
