This is not the 1st time he's conducting elections. So obviously, INEC must have seen or have copies of his certificates.
Was his house truly burnt? Yes
Did the institution acknowledged that he graduated there? Yes
Is INEC saying that he's disqualified because his credentials got burnt? No

All I see here is a smart political move to remind people of 2011 post election violence perpetuated by supporters of opposition parties.

The Registrar who wrote the VP's letter went out of his way to write "His original certificate got burnt". I do not think he is competent to have made that statement. I am of the opinion that the Police, Court Registrar or Fire officials should have made such statements if they have proofs. How did the Registrar know that the certificate got burnt? Even if the VP had given him a proof or shown a document to that effect, the University Registrar's testimonial should not have been a categorical statement except he makes reference to the confirming document. If I were the University Registrar, I would have just been silent over what happened to the original certificate and issued just my testimonial.

INEC also revealed that the certificates were tendered and verified when he contested for Kaduna state governirship and when he stood as running mate to GEJ in the previous election. Is Sambo saying that no other copy of his certificates can be found anywhere? Is INEC saying they do not have any copy of Sambo's certificates in their possession?
What about NIA (Nigerian Institute of Architects)? Are they not in possession of a copy of Sambo's certificates? Is he even a registered architect? He goes by the name Architect Namadi Sambo, so what is his NIA registration number?

Finally, is a "to whom it may concern" letter enough for INEC's verification? Why can't the university issue another certificate? is the process of obtaining another certificate not similar to obtaining a "to whom it may concern letter"?
