Bros!u were right n u might b one of those who maintain their cars to da best.I can tell u frm my experience that 80% of those driving cars with v6 engine can't maintain them.My opinion is just based to save d op frm stress that comes while driving v6 cars.

Do u deal with v6 engine or cos u r driving one n hasn't show its nausty side of it?save ur effort

I don't deal in engine parts.

But you lie when you say all you wrote about V6 engines.

V6 engine is more than those things u mentioned.i deal with these issues all d time with v6.V6 engines r very delicate n expensive to maintain.Few pple can maintain such engine to an extend with such attention it needed.

Another lie from the deepest abyss.

I used an I-6 BMW 520i in my third year in the university. Upgraded to a V6 3.5l honda odyssey in 5th year. Presently using a V6 Hyundai XG 350.

If as a student I could maintain those cars, then I refuse to join your school of thought.

You are very wrong about your assertion of a V6. That engine configuration is a better engine than i4. Its less prone to stress and vibration, smoother operation, lower revs, and higher power and torque output.

DON'T even challenge me with the "are you a V6 mechanic or just a V6 user" bring better counter challenge.

All this layman's speech about v6 makes me vex most times i feel like hiting someone angry

I have never owned an i4 car in my life I use
a 3.4L Chevrolet Venture
6.1l v8 dodge charger(I Sold her last week) cry cry cry cry
and a 3.5L Honda pilot
i have been driving does cars for a minimum of 3years each
and guess what i have never opened the engine before

change oil, plugs , brake pads, battery replacements and kick starter, Tyre Replacements thats all

Common tranny issues never show up self

And I stay in Nigeria am I an alien?
Later we blame our mechanics
You want cheap parts
The mech tells you to replace a part u told him to find a solution or manage/patch it ? You are toying with you car ? Don't worry when the car toys with you , you will hate yourself

U buy wrong oil of #2700 for him because he said the recommended is #7000 ... Smh
We think everybody wants to scam us that's it
The engine gets messed up and u say d mech is a novice

A brand new i4 camry engine can get ruined in less that a year

later we talk about fuel economy some nigerians are so stingy some will even say the corolla or prius is still thirsty they don't want to pay a dime for anything even if you offer them 100MPG

Cut your cake according to your size if you can afford a v12 my brother buy it

if na i4 you fit buy pls buy too

On this nairaland i have seen alot
Converting a dodge caravan v6 engine to a 1998 corolla's i4 engine
Swapping a 5.7L Pivot v8 sequoia engine for a 1996 camry i4 engine angry angry angry cry cry cry

changing a 2008 passat from Fuel Injection to A Carburetor
I used to think people only swap engines for a higher one until i met my fellow Nigerians

And don't even blame our mechanic's oh, the car owner is one of the main culprit

seems both of us r getting this issue wrong, let mi clarify frm where i based my opinion frm.i work at honda place apapa n av seen customers complaining of things that can make u angry n mad.i've seen where they complain of consumption of fuel(v6 comsume more fuel compare to 4l engine),engine light coming up always.to save d op frm this stress bn this is his 1st car, that's y i advise him to buy accord car.u might b more educated but what abt other who don't knw shit abt cars.

chai. Ur signature has everything to do with that particular opinion of urs. If as a Honda specialist mechanic, u advice ur clients to run from V6 that it has "issues", then like I wrote earlier, I still wonder aloud. Bye
if u take time to readd n comprehend what i wrote,u will knw where i'm comimg frm.

You said you want to buy your first car and you want to start from any of these big cars. Why not start from a smaller car so that you learn more about driving and cars.
thats a gud advice. starting from smaller cars will guide you and give you satisfying experience and ego as well. Though you can still get acquainted with cars from bigger once... if the cash is ''nothing''. I bet you, you will so enjoy your second ride like ''malt and milk''. Cos youv understood what you want in a way that is best for you.
