President Goodluck Jonathan has said that his administration remains the first government that has successfully created over five thousand young entrepreneurs in Nigeria. He stated this while launching a broad based public- private partnership programme called “Youths Entrepreneurship Strategy” meant to redefine job creation for young men and women in the country on Tuesday in Abuja. President Jonathan said that the entrepreneurship strategy programme would open the gateway to creating more jobs for the youths in Nigeria, being part of the efforts geared towards achieving the envisaged two million jobs in the nation’s economy. Young Nigerians who have benefitted from the different government entrepreneurship and job creation programmes paid glowing tributes to how the programmes have positively impacted their lives. The co-ordinator of the public-private-partnership entrepreneurship programme, Mr Nicholas Okoye called on youths in Nigeria to take advantage of the programme to become employers of labour instead of seeking white collar jobs. source: www. http://www.voiceofnigeria.org/nigeria/nigeria-launches-youth-entrepreneurship-strategy.html.com |
