What can change after the voting? Okorocha and his Orlu people have governed Imo state for 12 years since 1999, yet no pipe-borne water exists in their Orlu. People in Okorocha's village, a shouting distance from Orlu, still fetch water from Urashi river for domestic use. Okorocha says provision of pipe-borne water is a private affair; but provision of pipe-borne water is the first thing a government must do for the people. Does Okorocha even listen to what people want? |
