Try using the sim of a different network provider.

follow suggestions or instructions correctly. this is how u fail simple exams. nobody said try the sim on another phone, but it's also good u did that. i said try another sim on the same phone cos your network may have reset your phone's radio and locked your sim out from registering from that particular phone...that happens for security reasons

good. it's not necessarily your own alternative sim u must use to test it. u could use another person's micro sim[IT MUST BE THE SAME NETWORK AS THE ONE THAT'S NOT SHOWING SIGNAL(mtn-ng)] and once u have confirmed that another mtn sim is normal in your phone, then u will reset the radio...I'll give you code or u may get it by yourself if you want

check your phone memory for any efs folder check if there is backup in it. if no efs backup

use ARIZA patch to restore it. google the latest version

or

simply use

chimeratool
to repair it. (you can even change it to bb imei with this)

I think s4 mini is supported.

but

have u done a hard reset yet? execute this: *2767*3855#

if nothing changed, do this:

>Open up dialer and enter – *#06# to check your IMEI number,
if you see “IMEi Null” then you need to reconfigure the settings to fix the no signal or not register on network problem on your Galaxy Phone
> In the dialer , type- *#197328640# or *#*#197328640#*#*
>You will be prompt into the Command mode, On the screen provided , Select on Common , normally option 6
> Now Select (FTM) Option 1
>FTM is for debugging and testing .,(Field Test Mode)
>If (FTM) is on, you will have to turn this OFF
>As soon as your turned this off your NULL or altered IMEI number will be restored

Glo sim shd perform the magic . just install a fresh os- default use odin on pc. It has happened to me before.Took me 3days b4 i could fix it

It's really a simple case dear. You have corrupted your efs folder and I guess you didn't do a back up.

Now for solution
Search for your device's full rom online and flash through Odin. It will install your modem back.
