Blame Fayose, Fani-kayode, Other Hate Campaigners For Jonathan’s Defeat -olisa M by jk18(op): 11:11am On May 05, 2015
Spokesperson of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Olisa Metuh has exonerated the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) from any blame for the loss to the opposition All Progressives Congress ( APC) at the last general elections.

He rather inferred that the blame should be put on Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayo Fayose, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode and other hate campaigners including First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan who led hate campaigns and deployed hate speeches against the APC candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari during the election campaigns.

These individuals, in his view, were busy making hate speeches instead of selling the good deeds of President Jonathan

Mr. Metuh stated that not only was the party headquarters completely sidelined, it was starved of funds to run an effective campaign.

He revealed that because some persons were allowed to run a hate campaign against Mr. Buhari, they made the former military ruler who was the APC Presidential candidate more popular.

“The PDP campaign was characterized by hate campaigns against Mr. Buhari with little emphasis on the achievement of Mr. Jonathan.

Mr. Metuh stated, “In 2003 President Obasanjo ran against Odumegwu Ojukwu, while latePresident Yar’adua also ran against him in 2007.
According to Metuh “If the PDP had run its campaign based on hate speech against the Ikemba Nnewi, he would have won by a landslide in the whole of the South East,” he said

This blame game within the PDP ain't good at all. Instead of making amends and forging ahead they are busy pointing fingers. Very soon, we'll have another PDP 1 and 2 and before long even KOWA will overtake them.

the funny thing is that they dont even know what made them lose the election and is still making them divide daily.

I am disappointed at the PDP for this buck passing. The elections are over and what I expect from them is to dust themselves up, form a new strategy and move on.

This trend of blaming this one or that one will do the party no good.

Mr Metuh, why didn't you speak up against all the hate speeches to save your party and candidate?

Am not in any way surprised PDP ended up this way though. Sorry, this is just the start of the fall of the once biggest party in Africa.

Lol, confused lots. Oh now they're awake. What happened to the popular conspiracy theorem of the North and the West "ganging up" (and probably molesting) against Jonathan cos he's a minority.
Re: Blame Fayose, Fani-kayode, Other Hate Campaigners For Jonathan’s Defeat -olisa M by Codedeben:
Its in phases (their blame game). This is the second phase (1st being ganging up) . The last one shall be when they'd finally come out to admit the only thing that worked against him was his abysmal performance and the unprecedented sophistication of Nigerians towards effective governance this season. Nigerians now understand concept of good governance relative to available resources and revenues. They now waste no time in holding their leaders accountable.

Within the next 18 months if their new President-elect couldn't prove the "Change" he preached, he should be ready to relinquish his power. The same electorates that voted him in would boot him out just like his predecessor. Simple!

“The PDP campaign was characterized by hate
campaigns against Mr. Buhari with little
emphasis on the achievement of Mr. Jonathan."
Even the opposition begged PDP to focus on telling the electorates what Jonathan has achieved so far and why he deserves a renewal of mandate but they wouldn't listen. Metuh can't completely exonerate himself from this. From the beginning he said the PDP campaign would be "issues based" and egged the opposition to do the same, but soon after the campaigns kicked off, what did he and the rest dish out to the public?; one inane rant on frivolity after another. Even Sambo himself hopped on the train, claiming Buhari has plans to "christianise" the North saying his VP candidate owns many churches and the party's national chairman and other top officials are christians.

#We've not forgotten.

We said it and it happened. However, if I may recall even Metu took part in the hate speech game at some point and the only odd one out was Mazu. GEJ did not loose the election to hate speech alone but to other factors like bad governance, corruption, impunity, mama peace and lack of ideal SHikena !!!

Are they still crying? In my place there is a saying that state "who them beat, them nor dey say make e nor cry". Crying is allowed. All these their blame game are signs of crying after defeat.

Its been a while I heard them crying, and I thought they had stopped. Never knew they are still crying.

Cry on! Its allowed.

Olisa Metuh and the NWC should sheath their swords. What purpose will this blame game serve? He should cease from heating the polity

The NWC is going,, GEJ is going, PDP would stay with an effective leadership, as an effective opposition and possibly clinch back power 2019
