In as much as I agree that there are few numbers of unscrupulous Nigerians doing illegal business in Malaysia there are also thousands of Nigerians schooling (DP, Degree, Msc, PhD) and working here. They outnumber the yahoo yahoos but the yahoo yahoos are more popular because of their numerous atrocities.

There are lecturing, customer service, IT related etc jobs in Malaysia. If Nigerians are working at Petronas, like our NNPC, then what are we saying. There are elderly Nigerians here, our pastor, redeem pastor is a lecturer. I know other Nigerians working at Baker Huges, IBM, Dhl, SC etc.

Just like every other countries job is not readily available to foreigners but once you have good result and prove it during interview, Oga, you go get job. Even customer service job is readily available to Nigerians because of our English but even at that how many Nigerians here have Bsc (degree) because that is the basic requirement for customer service job.

Apart from that there are a lot of Nigerians here buying and sending goods home everyday. Go and see them at the airport and I have met a lot of them at Chinese embassy, they travel to China to buy all kinds of goods and sell. And who owns all the African restaurants and clubs is it not Nigerians? It is not easy but not impossible.

There is no minimal job here for Africans even road cleaning job, coming to Malaysia with 1 million won't take you anywhere as school fees alone for is 750k per year or let's take college which charges 500k upwards, please ask your friend where he or she's working and please don't come here on a visitors visa as you will leave here after 2wks, which If you are a visitor is ok but to stay u need a student visa which that your 1 million won't take you anywhere, school processing an school fees will cost you more and with flight ticket you will need more. If you want to see Nigerian Lecturers go to University of Malaya, UPM, Islamic University, Nottingham. I don't know about Nigerian Pastors

I have come across a lot of your type, you've lived here in Malaysia but you did not associate with the right people. Therefore, all you know is the negative things you were exposed to. Man, you failed to understand the fact that i don't have to live there before knowing what's happening there. again you failed to read my previous post very well, i said 90% of Nigerians there are into illegal businesses, i didn't say all! yeah i know there are few, not as many as you would like us to believe. the linkedin you posted didn't really show if they're working full time. and by their profiles it shows they have been living there for more than 13 years or so.

well most of the people i know went there for studies and left immediately after their studies. they couldn't stay back because of no employment(which Mr Allen also acknowledged) and of course because they don't want to do anything illegal. i have nothing to say concerning the 3 months visas because that's what they would issued you when leaving Nigeria either student or visiting, ofcourse if you happen to be a student they will come to pick you and process your 6/12 months visa within 14-21 days.

if you're saying Nigerians working legally there outnumbered the ones into illegal business, then i doubt if you have lived there for more than a year or even have a work as you claimed.

I try to reply you yesterday but antispambot ban me but take this from someone that has been here for almost six years and have been to other countries from Malaysia, USA inclusive. It is clearly started on their profiles that they are senior lecturers and I posted that after you claimed there is no single Nigerian working in Malaysian Universities.

The social visa is different from student visa, previously the social visa can be converted to student visa but not any more. And if you know anyone that they gave 6 month visa on arrival, he is not a proper student. Proper students don't get 6 month visa but a year.

By the bolded, I am talking about the total number of Nigerians here, ranging from over 1000 scholarship students from River state studying in Nottingham University to over 2000 Bayelsa Scholarship Students in Legenda University College. There are also scholarship students in UCSI, INTI basically most proper schools, if you add all these numbers together with the working class you will see that they are more than the illegal.

Nigerians working here are not more than Nigerian students as explained previously but the fact is reasonable number of Nigerians are schooling and working here as opposed what you claimed. For the last time please stop saying you get all these information from people that have been here. You've been to Malaysia, simple.

lol...sorry I study in Msia and I know two nigerian lecturers...one in University Malaya and another in UCSI cheras...don't come yanning balls brother...I'm glad now many bad Nigerians are being deported... or kept at PUDU...

How long do you intend to stay in Malaysia for?

If you are coming to Malaysia, you are highly welcome as Malaysia is a friendly, accommodating and nice country to study, live & work if you can afford the requirements but then let me go straight to studying here in Malaysia and the best way to go about it:

(1) You have to make up your mind first where to study
(2) You have to check and see if you have the requirements, I mean your educational requirements
(3) Money, Money, Money, everything here is about Money but bet me you wont regret coming here as things are much more affordable like you can feed on 50 ringgit ( 2500 naira ) like McDonald meal of 2 chicken, 2 burger, coke, fries and you still have a change, likewise Kfc, burger king, nandos, name it, also you can eat good food like rice, vegetable, chicken, or beef with such and still have change, African food is expensive but with 50 rm ( 2500) you will eat your favorite African food and still have change, maybe with a bottle of beer
(4). THERE IS NO JOB HERE FOR STUDENTS, EVEN AFRICANS, ANYBODY TELLING YOU THERE IS JOB FOR AFRICANS AND STUDENTS HERE IS JUST DECEIVING YOU. YOU ONLY GET JOB IF YOU APPLIED FROM NIGERIA, OR YOU ARE A GURU IN YOUR PROFESSION, 1 IN 20 APPLICANTS.

(5) Now how to go about admission into a university, a university degree here is 3 years, 4 years engineering, 5 years Medicine, nursing and others

School Fees: Undergraduate ranges from 600k Naira( 12k ringgit)-60,000 ringgit ( 3 million ) Masters ranges from 20,000 ringgit (1million naira) - 40k ringgit ( 2 million naira) all these are per year

(1) Google a university in KL Malaysia, apply with photocopies of all your passport pages, waec results, waec scratch card, you have to notarized your results in the Ministry of Foreign affairs nigeria or ministry of education, then obtain an NOC from the same ministry of education

(2) Submit all your documents to the school either through DHL, fedex, sending through email or if possible if you have someone here to submit on your behalf.

(3) Pay application and processing fee which is not more than 700$ to the school bank account through TT transfer

(4) After submitting your application and payment of the application fee, the school will notify you

(5) You have to wait for 1-3 months for your student visa approval from Malaysian Immigration and EMGS

(6) Once your approval is out, the school will contact you but you have to be calling to know your application status

(7) The school will send the approval to you through post and once you receive it, take it to Abuja Malaysian embassy with your approval and original passport then pay 10k visa fee and go to come back after 7 days excluding Saturday and Sunday for your visa

( prepare yourself, book your ticket and inform the school on time about your arrival, Ethiopian airline is the cheapest for a student

(9) Malaysia is approximately 14-15hours from Nija

(10) arrive Malaysia call your school number for pick up

(11) You have to pay your first year school fees before the school will accept to bring you in

The high commission they are referring to is Nigeria embassy here but they will take the one issue by Ministry of Education if you are in Nigeria.

Hello sir, pls I traveled to Malaysia after my nysc in the year 2011 with a social visa(an agent lied to me) but on getting there the immigration at the kuala lumpur airport collected our passport( mostly nigerians) and took us into deportation room, in Which I spent close to a week there before the airline I booked(egypt air) came to pick us back to nigeria, not that I committed any crime oh, my question is dis, I noticed my passport is been stamped and I don't realy know the meaning of d stamp( but I guess it's deportation stamp) can I still use dis passport to apply for admission in europe?

You should be able to, did you thumbprint?

They just check our passport, ask of our bta (I have 1100 dollars with me then),then straight to deportation camp.
