If it's our own doing like you said, then undoing it is also our own doing.

And that is a task that must be done.
grin I think we have become so mired in the political and economic -cum -cultural waters of our complicated marriage to sever ties .

If I may dare to ask, how do you split Nigeria?

It's all in your head, we are not mired in any political, economic or cultural waters.

As a matter of fact, we have different and divergent economic, cultural, religious and political ideologies, and this is the very reason why Nigeria can never be a nation.

It's simple, along cultural, traditional, religious and political lines. One of such nations that fit the bill is Biafra, comprising of all Igbo speaking people and her neighbors who share same and similar cultural, religious and political ideologies, like a true nation should.

Well, Nigeria has been ran and mismanaged by non Igbo heads of states and presidents for the last 45 years, yet she remains a joke.

Within those 45 years, Singapore under credible leadership had moved from a third world to a first world country.

With Igbos running their business in virtually allot region of the country? With Igbos investing in landed and real estate in both north south east and west? Our economic and cultural ties isn't as different as you would wish. There's a sizable Muslim population in the southwest and in Edo state in South south and there is a sizeable number of Christians in the north and middle belt as well.

You speak of a Biafra along igbo speaking areas but you should know there are many in Rivers igbo who will not hold to such sentiments and that area is key if you would achieve your dream of secession. Also many in the calabar/ uyo and akwaibom axis will still fear igbo domination in any eventuality.

That's why I say the marriage is complex. If the north decides to secede I think some regions in the middle belt might not tag along too and if the south west is to secede, the kwara and Kogi brothers might still be a puzzle to solve, not mentioning the pocket of ijaw settlers all around the creeks in the south west.

I still see a one Nigeria stronger and better with more international role to play in Africa and the world.

I do not make the mistake of speaking for a group of people as their mouthpiece.

But I have travelled and lived amongst different groups in Nigeria. I know the damage and political expediency that the Igbos of the south - South endured and subsequently adjusted to a life of near-duplicity and the fake - igbo lebel that is often chanted in the south east.

Do you deny this ?

In 1999 I was at Nsuka when Crush soft drink was the rave of the moment as Orijin now is, well the management decided to sack non-igbos as a measure for cutting cost. An Asaba man was sacked!!!

Also during my NYSC in Enugu, I met many igbos of Rivers origin and a considerable number will deny their igbo-ness so lamely it hurts.

I think it is all a cowardly resolution to paddle "smoothly" in the polygamous waters of the NigerIan marriage.

1) You might want to put a lid on the emotional outlet

2 ) your in - laws' choice isn't the yardstick of measuring the feelings of the entire people. Please I beg of you, do not be emotionally hypocritical with a dose of sentimentalism.

Eastern igbos are still berating the presidency for lack of "igbo" appointment even when some Delta igbo sons are there.

When Anioma state was on the verge of creation with the proposal that Onitsha be its capital, Eastern igbos kicked against it. That would have permanently sealed your western brothers to their kins in the east.

When Pat Utomi ran for president in 2007, Eastern igbos cried out he isn't a real igbo.

Well I don't hear much "fake" yoruba about their kwara and Kogi brothers.

There are a good number of Delta igbos who would easily jump ship to the other side and others who won't.

The Asaba massacre and eastern betrayal is still a sour point.

And what the hell is Delta Igbo or fake igbo when their dialect is even more igbo than most places in ebony state and some part of enugu.

Biafra is a legitimate call for igbo active participation in the sociopolitical scheme of things in Nigeria. Secession is a long, long dream.

There is no complexity any where in Biafra, complexities only exist in Nigeria.

Edo is not SS, it was put there for administrative convenience, the state geographically, religiously and Culturally is more of SW than SS.

There are no Muslims in SS, it's only in Arewa-Oduanistan which Edo is part of that Muslims co exist with Christians, they are meant for each other.

Those in Rivers are not part of your concern, we still have people from those parts of Igboland that do attend Ohanaeze meetings, bonds of brotherhood are not that easy to break, we will mend the rift and make our unity stronger, the way Biafra will be structured will ensure that.

As for Akwa-ibom, I am sorry for you if you think they will side Nigeria over Biafra, after Nigeria used their land Bakassi as a gift to Cameroun just to win the war and claim Eastern region oil wealth, they have seen Nigeria for what it is. Moreover there has always been a strong bond between Ndiigbo and people from that axis of Eastern region, when the time comes, we will put to test via referendum, I don't see them choosing an Islamic republic of Arewa-Oduanistan over a Christian Biafra.

The Ijaw communities are not in Ondo, they were carved into Ondo and can easily be carved out.

As for Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi, I don't see any problem there. Yorubaland, Edolands and Arewa are united by Islam, and together they will all form a United Islamic republic of Arewa-Oduanistan. It's a strong basis for nationhood, ie shared and common religious belief.

Biafra is a legitimate call for igbo active participation in the sociopolitical scheme of things in Nigeria. Secession is a long, long dream.

Trash, Ndiigbo never denied Kachikwu, we simply said that it is not Enough, and since the Nigerian state decided to balkanize Igboland into SE and SS, we are making a lemonade out of sour grapes by insisting that posts given to Igbos in SS cannot serve those in SE, unless the FG is willing to return all parts of Igboland it balkanized into SS for the sake of oil politics back to SE.

Until such happens, ie all parts of Igboland are united under one region the SE, Kachikwu appointment represents SS Igbos not SE Igbos, We are proud of our SS Igbos and will always support them. We stood by Okonjo all through, and we are in support of kachikwu.
An appointment for SE Igbos cannot serve those of SS Igbos and verse versa, if you want SE Igbos appointments and SS Igbos appointments to serve each other, then u must unite all parts of Igboland under one region.

Taa gbafuo! There was never a time Anioma state was on the verge of being created, and the trivial issue of Onitsha as capital scuttled it.
Anambrarians lost Enugu as capital of Anambra state to Enugu state, after heavy investments in Enugu city and were subsequently forced to relocate back to Awka after Enugu state govt introduced the infamous indigene and non indigene dichotomy.
And you expect Anambrarians to willingly give away Onitsha to Another Igbo state, after investing so much there? You are not serious.

Anyway, it doesn't it matter as the FG wasn't going to create Anioma state then, anyway.

You are a mischievous fella,It wasn't Eastern Igbos who cried out that Utomi was not Igbo, it was an Nsukka chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndiigbo that questioned "Utomi" name for not sounding Igbo enough, but the Ohanaeze chieftain was roundly condemned by all Igbos who equally reminded him that his Nsukka people sometimes bear non Igbo sounding names too, as a result of Igala invasion into Nsukka lands centuries ago.

The Anioma when the push comes to shove will always end up with the SE, consciously or unconsciously, with Enuani part leading the way.

You should worry more about the unity of Christians and Muslims in your future Arewa-Oduanistan republic and less about Biafrans. Biafra is a nation in every sense of the word nation.

3) they are indeed special like every other group in Nigeria.

It is disheartening to watch on social-media when Nigerians resort to tribal slurs and cruel jibes at one another at the slightest of chance. Ironically most of the jeering participants are often decent fellows offline who have in their close circles as friends people of other ethnic groups.

Nigeria is a mere geographical expression of the British experiment , so opined a leading political figure. Perhaps it was so during the 1914 amalgamation. A casual look at the sociopolitical and economic evolution of Nigeria ever since will lead any honest observer to draw a very contrasting conclusion.

For the Igbos do bound her neighbours in the south south in Abia and Imo and delta states and there has been a cultural and economical entwinement in this region. The Igbos also bound the north/Middlebelt in Enugu,Benue and Kogi states.

The yorubas share a little ancestral linkage in delta and Edo states in the south south and are in an eternal sociopolitical blending with the north in kwara and Kogi states.

All of Nigeria seems to meet in some critical geographical junction which suggests there's a bit of ALL OF US in ALL OF US. There is therefore no clear cut geographical or cultural demarcation for secession or breakup.

Summarily, Nairaland has morphed into Africa's biggest online meeting hub with a very sizable number of foreigners both from Africa and beyond. Disappointingly, this is where Nigeria's most ignorant tribal bigots have chosen to launch their scathing and diversionary tribal slurs..... in front of the watching world.

It should be clear that Nigeria is beyond breaking into tiny irrelevant geographical entities. The civil war failed; June 12 failed and has boko haram .

The destiny of Nigeria -- the very premise by which it became is bigger than any single tribe.

While we berate each other and call one another names, the rest of Africa watches with patience, waiting for us to solve our own riddle and lead the entire black race to its true dignity.

The former United Nation's Secretary General, Kofi Annan in Abuja ,January in front of a world press made a daring declaration : " The destiny of Africa is in the hands of Nigeria".

It is a sad commentary that foreigners have more faith and hope in Nigeria than Nigerians. When little minded, shortsighted tribal bigots ,with no sense beyond the relevance of their tribe, dance in a show of tribal shame, the effects resonate around Africa and the black diaspora. For every tribal cruelty spawned online on the ocean of our national existence, the waves of its

aftereffects is felt in the depths of Africa.

The world is aware of our shortcomings in corruption, government inefficiency but their faith is bigger than our dismays. Because there has been progress -not because of the bigots but in spite of them.

Nigeria remains the only black Country with a fair chance of being a super power, but it will take a united and strong Nigeria to achieve this.

The sooner we shed the last vestige of secession, the faster we shall begin to practice true coexistence with the option of disintegration so far off in the distance of genuine brotherhood.
[/s]

then everybody having trust in Nigeria should know that Nigeria can never be greater than what it is. Nigeria can't lead Africa even in the next millennium...
let us go our separate ways... because all hope will be lost when we wait for Nigeria to settle their differences because it can never happen.

Niggger-area is not a country but an insult to my people. I will fight it with any tool at my disposal. Go and die.

tell him...

Lolz. I never really had a beef with her o. Just trolling for fun then. I actually like her and wish you would add a face to her persona so that I could reconcile my wild physical imagination of her. But then women have their ways.

You are an olodo. Even your name shows you are probably a rug muncher.

You understand nothing about Niggger-area. The whole world is laughing at you and you think they are praising you.

[/s] Off to the dustbin you go. When you reconcile your bitterness with reality then you will be taken seriously. Have a nice time in your sojournment of identity quest in foreign shores. I can understand your bitterness grin grin grin grin grin

lolz, I don't like her in that fashion....no way. Kind of liking her persona and restlessness which , I must confess ,added a little sexual fun to it.

I think it is all a cowardly resolution to paddle "smoothly" in the polygamous waters of the NigerIan marriage.
u can imagine that! this is why i don't like to be identified as igbo even though we live close enough and understand their language and culture. coz when it comes down to the sharing benefits, igbo people would deny asaba people and call them deltans. they're so unpredictable
