Hi guys,
Please i need answers to this.I occasionally transfer money from my salary account to my savings account which i hardly withdraw.Since July i have some cash that has been ranging from 490k to about 560k.In september,i tranfered this 560k to an account i am a signatory to earn more interest cos that account is a high yeilding account. Now i intend to travel to the UK for Xmas holiday and i want to transfer the 560k back to my savings account where it has been since july.My question is,will this be considered as money lodgment given that my statement shows the money has been there?

Avoid money lodgement in its entirety except your can defend it with documents.

It is even more delicate moving money in between accounts prior to application.

@frontpagelawyer thank you for your response so far, please see the breakdown for my 6 Days trip in Jan
Please will appreciate responses from all the gurus on this too
Living costs 35 GBP
Income to dependants 70 GBP
Cost of trip to me 910 GBP
Total amount available 950 GBP
Cost of aeroplane 410 GBP
Cost of accommodation 330 GBP
Cost of living expenses 170 GBP
Regards

Living cost for 9days in the UK at 35pounds is unrealistic UNLESS you claim you are staying with someone who will cover your transportation and feeding expenses. As a foreigner here you need atleast 35pounds to feed daily excluding transportation fee because you have to eat out all the time.Cost of accomodation 330 pounds for 9days isnt realistic also. I will advice you google some of this statistics on average living cost in London, etc. If you claiming to stay with someone that will ease you alot of financial requirement but other than that. If you are claiming to stay in the hotel, paying for your flight and all you will need to have excess of 1.5m naira in your account considering the effect of the recent exchange rate between pounds and naira. Most importantly, it is not convincing that you are looking to spend all of this money for a 9days visit and then fall back to Nigeria with very little account balance. email me on samuelakinbaleye at gmail or call plus four four seven four three two two five zero seven eight seven

The truth is you not withdrawing anything from your account sends a RED FLAG. Because the truth is every one should spend out of thier salary UNLESS you are able to proof that you have another source of income ?

If you have moved money between account then you MUST explain this in writing clearly and submit 6months statement of where the money was moved from to show that the money has been in that account for atleast 6months before you moved it to back up your claims.

You not spending money from your salary is a RED FLAG unless you are able to defend it that you have another source of income.

Account balance helps but defending the account balance is what UK would respect most. For example if you claim to have a job that pays 100k naira and you have been working for 2 years. Annually 100k monthly paying job will fetch you 1.2m annually and 2.4m in 2 years. If you submitting an account balance of 2.4m and claiming you dont spend your account they can pick up on that because who on earth earn salary and never touch it ?? UNLESS you are able to defend it that you have other source of income then they understand why you save all your salary

One other point to note, your entry on your Visa cannot exceed 6 months @ a single entry.

No visit visa is strictly for visit. you cant study .you need to apply for a different category of visa for short term study course

The £35 is not his expenses in the UK for 9days, from my understanding he was referring to the first question under "expenditure"

330£ is realistic if he can navigate and get cheap hotels.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 12:12pm On Oct 07, 2015
The £35 is average living cost in Nig, not UK. For UK, it's £170 poster put.

True, the acct balance veeveezu mentioned is not that impressive, esp for someone dat has been denied already based on finances. He/she needs to have more than enof balance when applying again. For me, over a million is better. Tho nothing is impossible.

You said "At least £35 to feed daily..."? Haba! Ontop wetin na shocked No no no.

Again, what is poster emailing/calling you for? angry Advise him/her here na, make we learn too

Monthly living cost after they ask for your salary monthly and all .. just think of a realistic amount because this people are trained on Nigeria economy and average living.

If you are claiming to be tourist staying in an hotel without any relative here in the UK then yes you will spend about 30 to 35pounds daily remember you can't cook because you booked an hotel and not just a short let in a house. And also you being a tourist will want to move around and there is a charge on Oyster cards for transport unless you can prove you want to trek the whole of London to reduce your living cost lol grin

If you are putting 330pounds for hotel for 9days then what is your proposed date of travel the closer it is the more expensive the hotel will cost so you have to be smart on that side too . Its best you google any hotel and check the prices range for that date so you can calculate what to put on your form. And what you will get will be a bread and breakfast in that amount because that is about 30pounds per night. I can think of any Hotel in London that will offer room in that fees unless you have booked far ahead of the date. So if your proposed travel date is close to your application date and you are claiming your hotel is costing you 330pounds for 9days that is very untrue IN MY OPINION

yeah lump sum .. impatient consular will hurry into a conclusion for money lodgement but i believe with a detailed explanation on why you have moved them from one account to another and proof of how long they have been there and there source (pay slip for example) then they should understand that in as much as you have proven the money in question belongs to you and has been with you for a long period. Both account belongs to you so i believe that is fine but show proof beyond doubts

Hello Guys, pls i want to seek ur opinion on what you think could be wrong with visa appointment fee payment. I tried severally to make a payment for a friend but it didnt go through. I used my GTB debit card, i also used my capital one credit card but both payment were unsuccessful. Is it possible to make payment at the Bio-metric center?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by OGreene: 7:08am On Oct 08, 2015
There is no problem with that. I chose another hotel when I travelled. The ECO just checked to see that I indeed booked a hotel where am staying. If the ECO asks you, u can say u found out Ibis is a better hotel, better review or somethn sha, tho I don't tink they will ask.

Again, if the time u stated in ur application is not the time u re travelling, then dats enof reason. Fret not smiley

As u re travelling alone and hv no one in the UK, the ECO will be very interested in why u re travelling alone and what u came to do, so have those places u want to visit in mind, since u re going for tourism. Be jovial, dey will ask u why didn't come wt someone to make d holiday more fun, u shud have a reason, don't cook up stories. In my own case, I told them my friend was supposed to apply when I was applying, but for some reason she didn't, and as d year is winding up, I have to go on vacation and can't carry my leave days till d next year. I even told dem not to worry, that I will be fine grin.

Later another one came up to me asking how I made d flight payment, I said bank-transfer. Those ppl eh, dey sha want to fish out something even when nothing dey. Pls don't be tense.

Hello Justwise

I need advice on a visa refusal. My husband got his passport today and he is been refused on the following grounds:
We first met on 10/04/2012 and started the relationship in August 2012 and got married on 06/08/2014
We used calling cards as evidence of communication but the calling cards have no names and they aware that cards are readily available in Ghana to purchase as second hand. There is no itemised telephone records so they not satisfied.
The photographs provided are of our wedding day with a few on different occasions. However it appears that these photographs were all taken during the same visit by your sponsor. So therefore am not satisfied. Furthermore there is no evidence that your sponsor has been to visit you after the marriage on August 2014. Am not satisfied that your relationship is genuine and subsisting or that you intend to live together permanently in the UK.

Those are the reasons. Please advice me on what to do? Should I do the appeal or what? And If I do, and add extra supporting documents as I went to Ghana last month as a prove, do we have a chance ? Do I need to get a lawyer? Any suggestions on the platform will be appreciated. Thank you

Hello Justwise,
A friend of mine overstayed in the Uk for 7 years and during his stay here he had a son with a uk national. It's been three years since he voluntarily moved back to the south america as he hold a passport that doesn't need a visa to the UK. Now he's planning to come back to the UK to visit his son, will he have any problem entering? His child is a uk national as well and bear his surname.
Thank you!!!

1. Not necessary since you will be submitting it from the UK.

2. No need for a stamp as they carry all the info needed for verification.

3.https://www.gov.uk/apply-uk-visa

4. I don't think priority service is needed here as spouse visa application takes average of 3 months. He needs to submit the application online and offline as well. The same online form need to be printed out signed and taken to visa centre for submission together with all the documents he submitted online and his biometric details will be taken. He will be given an appointment date after submitting online.

Im going to Nigeria next week, would it be worth me taking a photocopy of the English certificate and hubby's TB certificate and put it with my file, should anything go missing.

When hubby takes his originals to the appointment, after his online form is completed and printed, does the centre send these originals to Sheffield?

thanks
