My Son’s Emergence, Fulfilment Of Prophecy Foretold – Father Of Ooni-elect by Mykel4God(m): 5:01pm On Oct 27, 2015
The father of the Ooni Elect, Oluropo Ogunwusi, has revealed his excitement at the naming of his son, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, as the new Ooni of Ife.
The Osun State Government on Monday announced that it had approved the choice of Ogunwusi from the Giesi ruling house as the new Oonifollowing the completion of the due process by the kingmakers.
Reacting to the joyous news, Pa Ogunwusi said he was not taken by surprise that his son was the one chosen to ascend the throne of the Ooni, because he “grew up with signs of greatness”.
Speaking with much glee, he said his son had followed up on a prophecy which came by a “man of God” declaring that he would be a great man.
“A prophet predicted that he would be great and that was just before he was born”, Ogunwusi said.
He noted that he had observed Prince Ogunwusi from his birth and came to the conclusion that the young man had a special touch to whatever he did.
“He is blessed with a rare gift, which shows in all his endeavors”, he noted.
Pa Ogunwusi also called on all other contestants for the stool to put away their rivalry and join hands with the new monarch to develop Ife land.
Adeyeye Ogunwusi, an accountant turned real estate developer, defeated 20 other contenders for the stool to emerge the choice of the kingmakers.

I didn't know culture allows the crowning of a man whose father or mother (especially father) is still alive.

Abi o. The father is now the son's subject. How could the son be better qualified than the father?

I find it interesting. Will the father prostrate to greet his son?

It is allowed in Yoruba custom to reign in one's father's stead if that is what ifa asked for.

Only he cannot replace his father on the throne. The king's father is 'baba Oba', (king's father).

The baba Oba need not prostrate, he would take a bow in public when addressing the king. The king is still his son in the closet.

Long live the throne of Ife, long live Yoruba race, the excellency of power, of greatness and glory.

kabiesi Adeyeye, ori ade, omo onife abure, omo adade owo remo, Ife aroju, Ife araye igbayi atuwa lara.

Long live the great people of Nigeria.
