Sometimes, the state u relocated from will hold ur 3 months allowance and clear the arrears later. Ur new state (where u redeployed to) will start paying after 3 months. Good u started complaining now, but shud complain more if you d'nt c alert by March

Lol. This same taraba? I served there 2011 btch C. My allowance stopped being paid june 2012. After making long enquiries since june i was told around september ending that i had been redeployed since april and nobody contacted me. All the same i was told to travel to jalingo to get my redeployment letter and get to Oyo for my documentation, this was two weeks to our POP. Anyways i did as instructed. Still had to go to taraba for my certificate tho.
But till date the allowance since june wasnt paid.
Was told your allowance moves to your redeployed state as soon as your redeployment letter signed. If thãt is the case why was april and mäy allowance paid?

Advise to you is to keep disturbing them. If need be make noise out of it.

You made a mistake by opening an account in Taraba. You ought not to open an account in Taraba since you are relocating to another state.

What you can do now is to meet the nysc account officer in Taraba and explain your predicament. Or else your money is gone.

CBN is the one paying corps member so if your details is seen twice from the CBN they can't forward ur allowance cos it'll mean there is a ghost kopa in either of the state.

I'm a batch B15 (stream 1) corp member, posted to Taraba state on October 28th 2015. I opened an account with UBA on camp and the account details was sent to me day after leaving camp. (November 17th). I redeployed to Delta state and reported at the secretariat on November 18th, 2015.
Till now, I haven't received my December & January allowances. Majority of my friends whom we redeployed to various states together have been paid duly, which leaves me to wonder what i did that they didn't do. I've called & called., sent messages too; from the accountant to state coordinator (Taraba). Yes, I got across to them.
The officials here said there's nothing they can do to help. I've exhausted all avenues, even tweets to @nysc_ng aren't responded to. This plea goes to the authorities in charge to help facilitate my allowances. Moderators., I'll appreciate front page for wider audience & contributions. Thank you.

Hey sister. When you say you have exhausted all avenues, did you mean you wrote an official letter to the DG of NYSC through your State Coordinator; through your ZI; through your AI?? That is the only office means to get your complaints across to the proper authorities.
That you called, texted and tweeted will not do anything.
I had a case of not being paid allawee when I served too, though I didn't redeploy. We were about 3 corps member affected in my zone at the time. We wrote separate letters and we were paid double the next month. Two months later, I was not paid again, this time just me. I complained, but nothing was done after that month, so I wrote a seriously worded letter to the DG and stated there that I will not stay hungry serving my father land, I jumped on a bus the next morning and left Bida (Niger State) for Lagos. Yeah, I wasn't smiling at all.
The ZI came read my letter, got angry, asked for me and was informed I indeed traveled, he got madder and demanded I return, threatening to extend my stay. Infact, he called an emergency CDS to know corpers who were not around. So I went, defended myself before him and AI, letting them know if I am not paid I will abandon the service till I see full pay, because it is my right to be paid. I refused to rewrite another letter (ehm I can be a bit rebellious sha). They had no choice but to send my letter like that and that caused me to be paid double allawee, TWICE!!! Yep, I collected an extra month allawee, which I took as compensation
So sister, write a letter and make sure it is sent

The person who moved this thread to frontpage really tried. The lady in question isn't the least bit affected by the problem since she can afford to be careless with her words. Granted she was provoked, it's no excuse. I wanted to share the experience from us serving in Delta State over unpaid allowances and how they were resolved but it'll be as useless as gold on a pig's snout. Once again, the morning meditations have proved to be a waste of time

Nansense!
Stop making misinformed and misleading statements, biko. It's annoying already.

The state one is redeploying from is responsible for the corps member's first three months allowance.

One more thing please, if you can't help someone's predicament, just leave it and go. Don't add more burden.

I don't think its cool to regret your decision. I mean 20k+ is not enough to love or rejoice over NYSC. Some teachers with SSCEs teaching in Primary Schools earn something close or more.

Keep hoping & striving and you will laugh best at the end.

U need to do two things, first demand for ur records in delta, that way u check if there's any typographic error in ur details, especially with ur account number. Secondly, contact the L.I & Z.L of taraba state, if nothing positive contact the state coordinator, ensure that their response is recorded, cos if no result, then be sure u are heading to D.g Nysc. Thanks.

There is no mistake in opening an account in your first state of deployment . the first three allowances of any corp member would be payed by the first state of deployment .

I was posted to borno, I got my first three pay from borno state and not from Oyo where I redeploy to and yes I opened an ecobank account in borno and another fcmb in Oyo.

The Nysc headquarters is side by side Corporate Affairs Commission in Maitama where I'm presently serving but I can't go there. We were severely warned in camp not to come to the headquarters for any reason. According to them all issues should be reported to our zonal office. I've gone to the zonal office and all they keep saying is that they are working on it.

The problem now is TSA if nt all dos things were easily solved b4 bt now all payments come frm CBN direct.

I don't think that's the problem o
