I dont know much about autos.The SUV is for my hubby and he is out if town.I'm finding it difficult to maintain it as I have mine.Few weeks ago, heard the security alarm screaming in night but it stopped eventually.Daybreak I tried to open via the security,it refused to open.Inshort the security went dead,no sound when u press both the open and lock key.I had to call a mechanic.He opened one of the back doors,it opened.This was done manually but not without the security alarm screaming.we changed the rmote battery.

Is this an aftermarket security device or a factory installed security system?

factory Installed.It happened today again.I had to remove the battery from the remote before it stopped.I called the mech he said they have to work on the security system and I know it will involve money which I don't have now.I'm scared of fixing the battery back into the remote.

I've called hubby he said it hasn't happened before.I hardly drive it,just occassionally so the battery doesn't run down.

There is nothing to work on the security system ,just get another one programmed to your car ,that's all, don't let any elect touch that car

Thats my fear.It has stopped for now but incase of reoccurence,I will call my mech from kd.The ones we have here,I don't understand them a bit.Thanks.

Thanks @GAZZUZZ.It has stopped for now but I have contacted my mech in Kd incase of reoccurence.My hubby is out of the country and won't be back till end of the year.I told him to sell it off but refused.I have to drive it occasionally to keep the battery warm.

Thanks everyone.I've gotten the problem and the solution from the new mech. I noticed for a while now that one of the back door doesn't lock,I thought it was normal.I just explained to the mech now and he said that should be the cause that I will have to change the lock of the that particular door.Thats what I'm planning to do now.

@GAZZUZZ was right afterall.
