Ladies, An Illiterate Rich Guy Or An Intelligent Poor Guy by Nobody: 6:35pm On Feb 20, 2016
After I rounded up with the normal Saturday chores and all, I decided to go visit this old friend of mine that I haven't seen in a while. When I got to her place, her mum opened the door, after the pleasantries, the next thing she asked was if am married, I told her no that am not, she asked if am already engaged, still answered in the negative that am still looking for the right man. She now murmured something about how young girls of this days won't go and marry and how education has corrupted us all making us see any young man that comes our way as not upto our taste. Was still thinking of how to answer her when my friend came and dragged me away, telling her mum to stop embarrassing her guest. I now asked my friend what's up with her mum and the marriage is, she said the family is trying to push her to marry this guy.

According to her, the guy isn't bad just that he's a stark illiterate and cnt even read or write but is well to do. I now asked if she has any guy she's dating, she said yes that she's been dating this guy from her uni days, the guy wants to marry her just that he isn't financially ready for that now. He doesn't even have a steady job yet and she isn't getting any younger. She now told me she has discussed with the bf and the guy already said he cnt tie her down but she's too ashamed of this other guy, she cnt even go out with as the guy will definitely disgrace her in public either with his English or his behaviour as he's so crude. That really got me thinking.

Girls, would you prefer an intelligent broke husband or an illiterate rich husband. The girl in question is really confused

i would go for d literate guy if he's intelligent, smart, and ambitious enough to know what he wants in life, not just some literate guy who only dream n not have plans o...
the illiterate is just a no no for me, forget about d money o, what if he goes broke, how is he going to stand up again without any form of education, or during d wedding and d mc asks d hubby to give a speech....No way o, i just can't imagine d disgrace.

You know contrary to the major belief here on NL, there are lots of girls who go into relationships with men knowing that they are broke. They just don't mind.

Have u ever met an illiterate proud rich guy. They're the worst set of people to reason with. So full of their dumb self. They always think since they have the money, you should worship them and will see it as an insult if you try to teach them anything. Just pray you dnt meet that kinda individual

Some one is finally saying my mind. In this case, it's obvious you married him cos of his money. What happens if he looses all that money or is just the stingy type and you won't even get to enjoy it. You'll be so doomed

Kissess for you for this post. i do always tell people, the best way to invest you money as a guy is to invest it in gaining, knowledge, knowledge, and more knowledge.
Been educated, literate and intelligent gives you the mind to approach any office even if you have no dime in your pocket.

If i were a girl, definately the intelligent but broke guy would be my preference.
