for all those ladies saying ese should abort i pray either u or child go through all this trauma since u dont like an innocent unborn child. Like say God forbid. If u quote me here u die shikenna not a swel

Though I'm totally not for keeping any trace of the ugly incident, if it wasn't for the fact that the pregnancy is so far gone, I would have said abortion straight. But at this stage the risk involved is way high. Try and google the risk involved in aborting a five month old pregnancy. You'll shudder.

And people are saying Sanusi should not be blamed in any way. I don't think so.

BTW I'm not in support of abortions but I pity the stigma that other children might inflict on the child later.

I know your basic problem is because the guy is hausa. God! things like this happen every time. Yes, she was taken advantage of but does that necessitate cutting up an innocent baby and throwing her out just because of your hatred for a tribe? Do you realise the baby is already fully formed at this stage.
This is a baby born at just about five months gestation, yet she somehow survived.

Partial birth abortion can even be 26 weeks, but it's murder. You would see the baby's head while the nape is punctured. Abortion clinics will have a special place hell.
Ehn? Say it again. Puncture the nape? That's pure murder. It's a no no

I am no Northerner either, neither am I married to one but, I am just appalled at the way people over react whenever northerners are involved. What just happened disgust me no doubt. I have a daughter also, but I also know so many parents lax in properly bringing up their kids. Young girls go out with boyfriends yet, their parents in most cases may not even be aware. They think love is some magical thing and will do crazy things just for love. I have seen so many cases like this.

It is the parent's duty to skillfully orientate their kids towards what is right. It is hard, it is difficult but without that, things like this will always happen yunusa or no yunusa,... and that is my point.

Aborting too can cause problems, of which death is the highest. Complications at this stage is very likely. Teenage pregnancy, and I mean girls as young as 13, 14 is rampant now. They simply give birth and give the baby to the mother( or grandma, if you may). Infact it makes some girls wiser later in life.

IF AN ARMED ROBBER OR CULTIST RAPES YOUR WIFE, DAUGHTER OR SISTER AND SHE BECOMES PREGNANT, WILL YOU LET HER HAVE THE BABY?

Guy, this your question is tough honestly. But as the pregnancy is already 5 months, she should have the child and give it to an orphanage. Have you heard the latest? Yinusa is claiming not to be responsible.

If it was my daughter, sister or wife, nawao, God forbid bad thing abeg...

The doctor carefully brings the baby's head out making sure the body doesn't come out, because if it comes out, game over, he can't touch the baby or else it would be a real murder. I worked in an abortion clinic back then when I didn't know much and saw things that I can't even describe. The guilt is like forever.

It's surprising that some of the people clamouring 4 abortion are christians who pray to God for one thing or another. Abortion = murder however you want to look at it. If it's wrong to kill the baby after birth or at 8/9 months stage, then its also wrong to kill it at 2/3/4 months stage. That's common sense. It's not the baby's fault. You can give it up for adoption later if don't want it

to think all those advocating for abortion are of the same gender is worrisome, aborting a 5months old pregnancy??just 4 months to go, seriously some people have lost it!!!!!!!! they should just cut the lady up and rip the baby outa her belly, very foolish people.

There is no way, no way I will ever agree with Northerners. This vexation is even increasing each time these type stories are spreading. Someone, because he or they are Fulanis, because they do not care for any other persons or because they have the suicide bumbers available to kill people, because they can just undermind others, or maybe because they are Islamists, because they do not have value for lives, just take my daughter without my knowledge, get her impregnated. Ho my God. Sometimes, I will be asking questions within me why can I go somewhere and forcefully devide this country? Time shall tell.

Huh! Sounds so easy but u know it gonna linger for long, coz as we know,d parents are not well to do.
So,y not take d gal to a gynaecologist/obsterician who will ripen her cervix and she expels it and dats all. No complications, and she can go on with her life on her own terms and not on someone else's!
Wch ever way,i pray God help her recover from whatever dey might have done to her.

Sincerely, this case is really saddening. but somehow its overhyped maybe cos of the present sentiments on the rise in this country. i did my NYSC in that area and i can tell you most of their girls are already sexually active from age 9 and even have kids in their parent's house and life continues. The fuss they are all making is mostly because of the guys religion and the CONVERSION which i am against.
if we are all true to ourselves, many youngstars elope all in the name of love (LUST). but most cases swept under the carpet but the volatile situation the country is in is what is making this an issue.

funnilly, another benue case is coming up, grin grin grin grin grin grin just to get public sympathy i suppose, when they voluntarily use their women to serve visitors? funny people i must say
i wish to see a nigeria of no sentiment someday. mind you i am not a northerner*******

Abeg o..abortion now is tantamount to cutting up a new born baby and throwing it away because it's father does not have sense.
5 months baby has full functioning brain, heartbeat, hands and legs, and it even kicks and smiles in the womb.
Abeg born d child give am to the father's family. If the mother gets older and wants to join them, then no problem.
Please don't visit d sin or the father on the child. God knows all things...
May God help us
which father? Yunusa? The same father that abducted the mother from her parents? What do you want the child to become? You have sentenced the poor child to the Almajiri system.

You have to look at the father's family and be sure they can cater to the child before you lump upon them a burden that they will also abandon.

If the mother can't care for it, she should give it out. Simple.

Abio, And that is why we must work towards helping douse that tension and not "adding more fuel". And the tenage preggy stuff is everywhere either through marriage(in the north) or through waywardness (in the south and east). I knew a 16 years old girl who already had 3 kids for 3 different men and still living with her parents.

This is really serious. In saner climes, Yinusa will be behind bars. For what it's worth, this is a classic example of grooming.

Toothless Nigerians. Our only voice is social media. That which is meant as a blessing has now become a curse since we can all now sit and home, type gibberish and feel we've contributed a physical quota to a cause.

Truly, the youth are lazy.

Yes, she can't consent to an abortion but the pregnancy is now too late to abort. No one, not even her parents have a say in this. Let nature take its course.

I don't know where they will find a Nigerian doctor who will risk his hard earned license on abortion at this stage of pregnancy. Abortion for ESe is a NO NO.

I wish some capable person could give the parents money or some doctor (qualified) should offer his services free for a D & C....that foetus should be aborted simple....

She's too tender to be a mother. the foetus needs two parents.....The father is a criminal and the mother in her early teens, so it is rational to have the foetus ripped off least it ends up as another almajiri, albeit a southern one.

Bleep nature, she should save her future and go for a D & C.

The problem is not the pregnancy, the problem is not the child...the problem is us, it is our society, so loveless and so careless and unwilling to embrace the most fragile sides of life. If we would stand around the girl, give her a safe environment to carry her pregnancy to end, if we were willing to invest in her future, to find a home for the new life, if we would get rid of concepts of shame, of thinking in impossibilities, in doom scenarios, if we would learn to think in opportunities, in making the best out of the worse...if we would just have a heart and love every life, even when it comes in not perfect circumstances, and stand together to make a curse a blessing...then we wouldnt take in our mouth the word abortion, we wouldnt give the girl another lifelong scar, the best way to healing is love and not denial and removal of a problem that will hunt you lifelong anyway, death or alive.
